Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives may suffer cast shakeup as MULTIPLE stars tease exit amid domestic abuse drama

Currently the most popular reality show on TV, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives may be facing some big changes to its cast in the near future.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Whitney Leavitt are two of the show’s biggest stars, and they might both leave the cast before the year is over.

Paul’s possible departure follows a scandal involving a domestic dispute with her child’s father, Dakota Mortensen. This led to ABC cancelling her season of The Bachelorette shortly before it was scheduled to air.

Following the release of disturbing video showing Paul physically assaulting Mortensen in front of their daughter during a 2023 incident, a decision was reached.

Following the incident, Paul was arrested and faced charges of assault, property damage, and domestic violence committed in front of a child.

Filming for season five of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been temporarily stopped. This pause came after reports of domestic violence involving Paul and Mortensen, who are parents to a one-year-old son named Ever.

Mikayla Matthews, a cast member, has announced that filming for the new season has been temporarily stopped.

She posted on Instagram Thursday, explaining that all of the girls had made the decision together.

‘We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.’

Paul recently told Good Morning America that his wife’s role on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives may be in jeopardy. This came just before ABC canceled The Bachelorette, and followed a recent controversy involving his wife.

When questioned on Good Morning America about the future of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Paul responded that it was too early to say what would happen next.

Honestly, with everything happening right now, it’s just really tough. It feels like I can’t look beyond what’s immediately in front of me, and it’s incredibly overwhelming. It’s just a really heavy time.

According to TMZ, since the interview, Mortensen has taken legal action against Paul, seeking a restraining order and full custody of their son.

Paul isn’t the only cast member whose future on the show is uncertain.

Demi Engemann left the show at the start of season four following allegations that she had an affair with Marciano Brunette, who also appeared on Vanderpump Villa, while still married to her husband, Brett.

Brunette has sued Engemann and the show’s producers for defamation, claiming he falsely accused her of sexual assault.

After leaving the show, Engemann told TMZ she prioritizes her well-being and will always choose to walk away from situations that harm her mental health.

The 31-year-old explained she’s currently taking a break from creating content related to motherhood, but she’s working on two new projects that she’ll be sharing soon.

Meanwhile, Whitney Leavitt has also teased her own exit from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Initially, the 32-year-old actor played the bad guy for the show’s first two seasons. Now, however, viewers love him, and he’s become a successful actor in other projects as well.

She really impressed viewers on the latest season of Dancing with the Stars, making it the show’s most popular season in nearly ten years.

She then went on to play Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago, which has become a huge commercial success, breaking numerous box office records.

Leavitt’s current Broadway performance is breaking records, selling more tickets than any other run in the show’s 29 years. Because of the incredible demand, her contract has been extended.

She’s also starring in an upcoming holiday film, which she is executive producing.

Because she’s so busy, Leavitt is suggesting she might leave her Hulu show before long.

She recently told The Hollywood Reporter that she owes her current success to the show ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’.

Honestly, it’s just… I’ve always had these other things I’ve wanted to do, things I was dreaming about before the show even happened, and it’s like, now’s the moment! I need to push myself and finally go after them. It’s not that I don’t love what I’ve been doing, but I have to explore everything else too, you know?

‘I’m figuring it out in real time. But it feels like that’s the trajectory of where it’s going.’

Leavitt is currently with the Gersh agency, which also represents Ariana Madix from Vanderpump Rules. Gersh helped Madix gain prominence after she became a well-known figure following her ex-boyfriend’s infidelity.

The latest season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is now streaming on Hulu, and they’ve already started filming the next one.

Production on the film was temporarily halted due to the domestic violence allegations against Paul and Mortensen, but Variety reported it would likely start up again quickly.

Because Paul’s situation is becoming increasingly serious and the cast doesn’t seem willing to film with her at the moment, it’s uncertain when filming will resume.
