‘Lost’ Star Dominic Monaghan Disagrees With Fans Over the Show’s Ending

Dominic Monaghan, famous for his role as Charlie on the TV show Lost, has spoken about the mixed reactions to the series finale. I’ve been thinking about TV show endings lately. I was chatting with someone today about how much I enjoyed the finale of Lost, and it reminded me of Game of Thrones. Several of my friends hosted viewing parties for Game of Thrones, but a couple were really disappointed with how the series ended, and it actually soured their overall opinion of the show.

I couldn’t help but think, ‘Wait a minute – you loved watching this show for ten years, and now you’re upset just because the ending wasn’t exactly what you hoped for?’ I think that’s what happened with Lost. People really got into the show while it was on, expecting everything to be neatly resolved. But if the ending didn’t give you all the answers you wanted, that doesn’t mean the whole show was bad. If you enjoyed watching it, you enjoyed the show.

Although some viewers thought the ending of Lost implied the characters were always deceased, that wasn’t the intention.
