Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon dead at 54 as ‘heartbroken’ family reveal cause of death

Nicholas Brendon passed away at the age of 54, his family confirmed on Friday.

The actor was most famous for his roles as Xander Harris on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Kevin Lynch on Criminal Minds.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news of Nicholas Brendon’s passing. His family announced that he passed away peacefully in his sleep from natural causes, and they shared the news on his Instagram. It’s a truly sad loss, and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

A group photo showing Brendon with four of his family members was posted with their heartfelt message.

His family celebrated his love of art and natural skill, sharing photos of his paintings and performances.

The statement said most people remember Nicky for his acting and the memorable characters he played.

Lately, Nicky has discovered a real love for painting and art. He enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm and talent with everyone he knew – his family, friends, and followers.

His family remembered the artist as someone who was deeply passionate, very sensitive, and always striving to make new things.

‘Those who truly knew him understood that his art was one of the purest reflections of who he was.’

The family has asked for privacy as they mourn his passing and remember his vibrant life, filled with passion, creativity, and kindness, according to a statement released by the family.

‘Thank you to everyone who has shown love and support.’

Oh my gosh, he was the Wesley Wyndam-Pryce! Seriously, he was amazing as Buffy’s sidekick, always there for her, and he was in every single season of Buffy! I watched it from 1997 to 2003, and he was just… perfect the whole time. I can’t believe he was in all seven seasons, it’s incredible!

Besides his well-known TV work, he also played a leading role in the 2000 movie version of Charles Busch’s play, Psycho Beach Party.
