This news follows Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s comments about her marriage to Andre Gray being more solid after he sought therapy to deal with a difficult situation and spent time understanding himself.

The singer, formerly of Little Mix, had shared that she lost trust in footballer Andre after he hurt her deeply – less than two years after their wedding in Jamaica.

Leigh-Anne, who is raising four-year-old twins with footballer Andre, says they’ve worked through their problems now that Andre, 34, has started seeing a therapist.

She explained to PEOPLE that the most important thing was how he changed. He went to therapy and also moved to a different country.

He spent a lot of time thinking about things while he was alone, and that was really important for his growth. He really put in the effort to improve himself.

Interestingly, Pinnock feels that his time playing for clubs abroad actually helped save his marriage.

Pinnock explained that the biggest challenge for them has been the distance. Despite how difficult it’s been, they’ve been dealing with a long-distance relationship for three years.

It’s definitely helped me stay connected to them, and it’s wonderful to look forward to seeing them again. I think it’s a good thing to miss people you care about.

Joining Port Vale, based in Stoke-On-Trent, allows him to be closer to his family, and he and they are now feeling hopeful about the future.

He started going to therapy, and I think moving to play sports overseas really gave him the space to reflect. He realized he hadn’t been prioritizing the relationship and that his actions had been self-centered.
