Mel B sets the record straight on Spice Girls reunion rumors ahead of group’s 30th anniversary

Mel B has stated that the Spice Girls are not planning a reunion, even though there have been rumors about them getting back together to celebrate 30 years as a group.

At an event for Revive Collagen, where she was announced as their new global ambassador, the 50-year-old dismissed speculation about a possible reunion for the group.

She kept saying they should have a reunion, always insisting it would happen and that she’d make it so. But so far, nothing has come of it, she admitted.

When someone suggested the Spice Girls might reunite with just three members, similar to how Nicole Scherzinger has with the Pussycat Dolls, Mel didn’t seem very interested.

‘I don’t know about that. I mean, there’s five Spice Girls. You know what I mean?’ she said.

I really want to go on tour, definitely, but I’m making time to see the Pussycat Dolls – I’m a huge fan!

Mel joins other Spice Girls, like Mel C, in denying rumors of a reunion. Mel C recently stated there are no plans to celebrate their 30th anniversary, despite reports last year that the group was discussing a possible comeback.

Mel C recently shared on Australia’s The Smallzy Show that the Spice Girls are constantly in touch and exploring possibilities for a reunion. While she doesn’t know when it might happen, she remains hopeful that fans will one day see the group perform together again.

This news follows reports that a Netflix project marking the group’s anniversary was also scrapped. Sources say Geri Halliwell was hesitant about participating, which contributed to the cancellation.

Although a Spice Girls reunion isn’t currently in the works, Mel B is staying active as a judge on America’s Got Talent and recently became a global ambassador for Revive Collagen.

Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, is working with the brand to highlight their new collagen supplements designed for women going through menopause, drawing on her own challenging experience with it.

Menopause is a natural part of aging that all women experience. It can begin as early as a woman’s thirties and sometimes last until her sixties. For me, it started around age fifty, bringing symptoms like hot flashes, hair loss, and increased anxiety, as I began experiencing these changes around that time.

I spent ten years in a really controlling and damaging marriage. Getting out of that left me with so much anxiety, stress, and worry. And then, just when I was starting to deal with all of that, menopause hit! It was incredibly frustrating because it felt like no one was actually talking about what it’s like to go through this – it was a really isolating experience.

Many women are struggling with serious issues like suicide, divorce, and mental health challenges, often leading to diagnoses of depression and anxiety. While these issues have many causes, menopause is a significant factor for many women, and is sometimes overlooked or misdiagnosed as the sole cause when it’s often part of a larger picture.

It can be really frustrating, so I get why some women avoid talking about it – it’s a sensitive topic. But honestly, all women experience this, or will at some point. And having been in the Spice Girls, I’m passionate about helping women feel strong and confident.

Mel shared that she tried Revive Collagen for two months before becoming a brand partner, and she believes it’s helped improve some of her health concerns.

The singer behind ‘Tell Me’ marked her partnership with the brand by hosting a launch party at Soho House Holloway in West Hollywood on Thursday.

Several well-known faces attended the event, such as actress Gabourey Sidibe, TV personality Kamie Crawford, singer Natalie Mejia from Girlicious, and Olympic athlete Alysha Newman.

Mel looked fantastic at the event, wearing a shimmering silver miniskirt and a matching top that showed off her figure.

Former TOWIE star Samantha Faiers is the businesswoman behind Revive Collagen. 

She launched the company with her business manager, John Bailey, in August 2020, and remains the majority owner.

Revive Collagen, known for its convenient, ready-to-drink collagen supplements, has quickly become the leading collagen brand in Europe.

Sam quickly boosted the brand’s visibility by featuring well-known personalities like Amanda Holden and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, even before Mel joined the team.

Meanwhile, Mel is currently busy with her judging spot on America’s Got Talent.

She rejoined the hit competition show last year for its twentieth season and is now filming the twenty-first.
