Denise Richards has shared for the first time that she has undergone a full facelift.

Denise Richards, 55, recently revealed she underwent a surgical procedure eight months ago, sharing photos of her recovery.

And she said she was sad when her ex leaked the news to the press before she could talk about it.

‘I wanted to put things back up, where they were before,’ said Richards.

I was really scared. Because I’ve been recognized in public since I was young, getting a facelift was something I knew people would notice.

It’s not the first time she has had plastic surgery. 

Richards had her breasts done at 19, and has had revision surgery for her implants since then.

But, she said, it is the first time she’s had cosmetic surgery on her face.

‘It is night and day,’ Richards said of her before and after look. ‘It’s shocking, actually.’

Following her own facelift, she mentioned that other celebrities became more open about having similar procedures, though she wouldn’t reveal any specific names.

She also points out that looking younger isn’t just about skincare, exercise, or cosmetic procedures; there’s more to it than that.

During her divorce, she says her ex-husband, Aaron Phypers, revealed she’d had a facelift. He also allegedly arranged for a photographer to be present outside a doctor’s appointment where she was receiving treatment for her scars.

I was absolutely floored when I heard my ex spread a rumor that I’d gotten a facelift – and that it went wrong! It’s completely untrue and honestly, just a really mean thing to say.

I wasn’t sure if I should mention my facelift, but my doctor actually brought it up first.

I considered saying something like, ‘She seems happier since the divorce,’ and I probably could have gotten away with it. But honestly, I’m not even sure.

This follows a court order requiring Richards to pay her soon-to-be ex-husband, Phypers, $5,000 each month in temporary support.

The actress from ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and her soon-to-be ex-husband, age 53, are getting divorced after separating last summer. In a recent court hearing, the judge ordered the actress to pay her ex a monthly sum and also cover $30,000 of his legal costs.

The judge explained that the attorney’s fees cover only the divorce proceedings, and don’t include costs related to Aaron’s criminal case.

He’s been charged with four serious crimes: two counts of harming his spouse and two counts of trying to intimidate someone from being a witness, using force or threats. He claims he didn’t commit these crimes.

The $30,000 in legal costs will be paid in three payments. The first payment of $10,000 is due by the end of March.

Judge Bershon detailed the $5,000 monthly support payment, allocating $2,000 to rent, $1,000 to a car, $1,000 to groceries, and the rest for other costs.

On February 26th, Phypers testified in court that he had only $200 and stated the decision would definitely be helpful, though he was focusing on getting through each day as it came.

Mark Gross, Richards’ attorney, stated that the costs of caring for her 14-year-old daughter, Eloise, who has a rare genetic condition causing developmental issues, were very significant.

He argued that people who have been abused shouldn’t have to financially support their abuser, pointing to Denise’s successful request for a permanent restraining order against Phypers, which was granted in November 2025.

His lawyer responded the Quantum 360 founder has not been convicted of the charges.

Richards recently shared on Instagram that the past year was difficult, involving both difficult goodbyes and the revealing of uncomfortable truths. Despite the pain, she expressed gratitude for the resulting clarity.

Denise was previously married to Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares daughters Sami and Lola.

Phypers was previously married to actress Nicollette Sheridan before their divorce in 2018.
