Fans of Zendaya don’t believe reports that she and Tom Holland have secretly gotten married. Many think she’s intentionally started rumors as a clever way to promote their new movie, ‘The Drama,’ calling her a ‘marketing genius’.

The 29-year-old actress, engaged to her Spider-Man co-star, also 29, since December 2024, has been seen wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger, but she hasn’t said whether they are married.

She’s been modeling wedding dresses for a movie, and photos of her in white gowns led to realistic AI-generated images appearing online that falsely suggested she and someone else had gotten married. These fake images were so convincing they even fooled her family!

Wedding rumors about Zendaya started when her stylist, Law Roach, jokingly told Access Hollywood that the wedding had already taken place and that everyone had missed it. When asked if he was serious, he doubled down, saying, ‘It’s very true!’

Now, many fans believe the whole thing is a publicity stunt. They think her recent red carpet outfits are a form of ‘method dressing’ – where an actor prepares for a role by adopting aspects of their character’s life – because her new movie is about a couple getting married.

She shared with Variety that she and her stylist, Law Roach, were discussing how to create a consistent look for the movie. She recalled the traditional wedding rhyme, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” as a source of inspiration.

At the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards Ceremony, people said Zendaya was very kind and thankful while receiving congratulations on her wedding from other famous actresses and stars.

While walking the red carpet, she subtly suggested she was married, briefly displaying a ring that appeared to be a wedding band. This happened after event host Marsai Martin playfully asked her for an update on her personal life.

She prominently displayed two rings on her wedding finger, showing them off with a smile as she posed for the photographers.

There were two rings: a Rolling Ring, also known as a Trinity Ring or Russian wedding ring, and a simple, thin gold band resembling a standard American wedding ring.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Zendaya and Holland for comment. 

Though they first connected on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, they didn’t publicly confirm their relationship for several years.

Zendaya sparked speculation about a possible wedding after she was seen wearing a gold ring that resembled a wedding band as she arrived at the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week. She also wore a separate silver ring, different from the brand’s ‘Rolling Ring’ design.
