Kate Lawler reveals she is a ‘little bit gay’ as she shocks husband Martin Bojtos with candid admission about her sexuality

Kate Lawler recently surprised her husband, Martin Bojtos, by sharing that she experiences some same-sex attraction. She described feeling ‘a little bit gay‘.

The 45-year-old reality TV personality and her husband, who co-founded the podcast company Podmasters, were together for years before marrying in 2022. They became parents to their daughter, Noa, in 2021.

In April 2018, Martin – known as Boj – proposed to Kate while they were on a romantic getaway to Bruges.

Even after years together, Martin discovered something new about his wife during Thursday’s episode of their podcast, “Boj & Kate Have A Lot On Their Plate.”

While discussing her ideal wedding location – the ballroom at The Savoy – Martin playfully suggested that it might only be possible for a future wedding, ‘if he becomes wealthy’.

Kate responded, then confessed she had ‘a little bit’ of a past, adding that ‘we all do’.

Kate said she thought the ballroom was a beautiful place to get married. She co-hosted the Childline Ball there last week.

“How much money do we have?” Martin wondered. Kate simply replied, “If only money weren’t a problem.”

Martin laughed as he continued: ‘Yeah. Who knows the next one? He might be rich.’ 

Honestly, the conversation took a turn when Kate jumped in and said, ‘Or, you know, it’s 2026 – people are allowed to be who they are. Let’s not be judgmental.’ It was a much-needed reality check, really.

Martin chuckled and repeated, “You’re capable, but you aren’t actually doing it, and that’s what matters.” He emphasized, “You can do it, but you’re simply not.”

‘Why’ Kate asked, to which Martin said: ‘You’re not gay.’

Kate replied: ‘What do you mean I’m not gay? Why am I not allowed to be gay?’

‘You can be but you’re just not,’ Martin said, as Kate asked: ‘Can I be a little bit gay?’

Martin then added: ‘You can be a little bit gay, it’s up to you.’

Laughing again, Kate said: ‘You know I’m a little bit gay. We all have a past.’ 

Kate confirmed her sexuality as she commented on the clip: ‘We definitely spoke about this.’

In January, Kate threw a celebratory dinner for Martin’s 42nd birthday at the upscale Solaya restaurant in London.

She shared photos with her Instagram followers of a fun and lavish party they had on a rooftop in East London over the weekend.

Kate shared a sweet message about her husband online, saying she couldn’t picture her life without him.

The TV star looked amazing in a see-through dark top paired with high-waisted jeans and fashionable black stiletto heels.

‘Just a little appreciation post for the person I couldn’t live without,’ she told followers.

I’ve spent the last thirteen birthdays with him, and each year I feel incredibly grateful to have him in my life.

I’ve grown a lot in the last few years, and I realize I can be difficult to live with. There are times when I might not show it, but I love you more than ever, and I can’t picture my life without you.
