Tahnee Sims is continuing to heal and rebuild her life after the heartbreaking loss of her boyfriend, singer Johnny Ruffo, who passed away two years ago.
On Saturday, a product developer from White Fox Boutique enjoyed a relaxing day at Maroubra Beach in Sydney.
The 32-year-old arrived casually dressed in a loose, white T-shirt and cut-off denim shorts.
Okay, so I noticed Tahnee, and honestly, even just seeing her was amazing. She had this cute tote bag slung over her shoulder, and she was carrying a bright pink water bottle – so perfect! Plus, she had this adorable striped towel, yellow and white, you know? It was just… everything about it was so her.
She was out and about without makeup, and although she had black flip-flops with her, she wasn’t wearing them – she was walking barefoot.
Tahnee settled comfortably on the sand, changed into a brown and white bikini, and relaxed with a book in the sunshine.
Actor and former Home and Away star, Guido Ruffo, passed away in 2023 after a six-year fight with brain cancer. He was with his girlfriend, Tahnee, when he died.
Tahnee and Johnny were together for eight years. She recently shared a collection of black and white photos of them online, remembering him one year after his passing.
‘One year on without you. It feels like just yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once,’ she wrote.
I’ve often thought about reaching out and sharing what’s been on my mind, and there have been so many times I wanted to call you. But more than anything, I want you to know that I’m doing alright.
Losing you is incredibly painful, but it’s a price I gladly pay for the love we shared. I’m so thankful for all our years together and the amazing memories we made. Even a lifetime wouldn’t have been enough time with you. I miss you terribly, J.
The singer, who rose to fame on The X Factor, received a brain cancer diagnosis in 2017. This was only two years after she and her partner met while taking dance classes.
That August, he had emergency surgery to remove a 7cm tumor from his brain. Following the surgery, he received chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
After initially being diagnosed with the illness in 2017, Johnny experienced a period of remission. However, in November 2020, he shared that the disease had come back.
In August 2022, he revealed his brain cancer was incurable and expressed worry about how his girlfriend, Tahnee, would manage after his death.
He sadly died on November 10, 2023 just a week shy of Tahnee’s 30th birthday.
Johnny made no secret of the tremendous support he had from Tahnee throughout his cancer journey.
Honestly, I’ve seen this pattern a lot – he was all over social media, constantly praising her, and even went public in interviews, saying she completely turned his life around. It was a very public display of affection and gratitude, almost to an extreme.
When Johnny started having frequent and severe migraines, Tahnee was the one who immediately took him to the hospital.
