Last One Laughing’s Roisin Conaty reveals on-set reaction to returning Bob Mortimer

Season two of Prime Video’s LOL: Last One Laughing UK has arrived! A new group of comedians are moving into a house together, and the challenge is to make each other laugh without laughing themselves – the last one to do so wins.

The show’s producers created a surprising twist by bringing back Bob Mortimer, the winner of season one, to see what kind of unpredictable events would happen.

Roisin Conaty, co-host with Jimmy Carr and the show’s card judge, described the moment the current champion returned to the house.

I was watching The One Show last night, and David Conaty was talking about Last One Laughing. He basically said Romesh Ranganathan is the absolute best – the ‘king’ of the show, really! It’s so interesting to see how different comedians react to him. Some of the more competitive ones immediately target him, thinking they can ‘beat’ Romesh, while others seem to just try and avoid him altogether!

When he entered the house, everyone quickly dispersed, reacting with surprise and disapproval. They hadn’t expected him to be there.

Conaty hosts this podcast, marking her first time as a podcast host. She interviews both current and former contestants, as well as celebrity fans of the show.

“It’s been a real treat for me getting to do my first podcast”, she said.

Honestly, recording the podcast was a blast! I had so much fun talking about Last One Laughing – especially all the crazy stuff that happened behind the scenes – with some seriously hilarious people. It was a really great experience.
