Darren Star, the creator of Emily in Paris, is working with David Schulner from New Amsterdam on a new Netflix series called Uncorked. This romantic comedy takes place in Napa Valley and centers around a winemaker searching for romance.
The new show follows a gifted winemaker who’s also struggling with personal issues. She returns to Napa Valley hoping to find love again, rebuild her family name, and finally create a perfect, award-winning wine – though she insists she doesn’t obsessively check wine review websites.
This woman is driven by a deep passion, but it’s also her biggest weakness – a problem that typically surfaces every Tuesday before noon.

Star and Schulner are writing, executive producing, and co-showrunning a new series called Uncorked. They’ll be working with Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns from Emily in Paris, who are also executive producers through their production company, Counterpart. Universal Television is also involved in producing the show.
Netflix has renewed Emily in Paris for a sixth season. The show has been very popular with viewers, even though critics haven’t always been impressed.
