Robbie Williams is returning to Australia for concerts in several major cities, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, and Adelaide.
Fans are upset that the 52-year-old pop star won’t be performing in Perth, and many have expressed their disappointment online.
Oh my gosh, Robbie, I’m SO excited you’re coming to Australia! Seriously, I’ve been waiting forever! But… please, PLEASE tell me why you’re skipping Perth? It’s just… devastating! We need you here! I’m a huge fan and I just don’t understand why we’re being left out. It’s breaking my heart, honestly!
They shared how much they loved the artist, saying they’d been to every concert in Perth, read both of their books, and watched the movie and documentaries. They expressed being deeply upset by the news.
One fan asked why Robbie isn’t including Perth on his tour, noting that he’s very popular in the city.
I’ve been a huge Robbie fan for years and have seen him at every concert here. I’d really love for him to tour in Perth, though! Can someone please explain why he’s not coming? Sending my love, Robbie!
A third added: ‘Can’t believe you missed Perth lad!’
The online discussion continued on Facebook, with one fan remembering the significant traffic problems caused by the concert when Robbie Williams performed in Perth in 2023.
The concert was great, but things didn’t go smoothly afterward,” said the disappointed fan. “We really want the band to return to Perth for another show to make things right.
The popular singer begins the Australian part of his BRITPOP tour in Adelaide on November 7th, and then performs at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on November 11th.
Sydney fans will get the chance to see the Angels singer at Accor Stadium on November 14.
Robbie Williams will continue his Australian tour with a show in Newcastle on November 17th, before finishing up in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on November 20th.
The popular singer, originally from the UK, will then perform two concerts in New Zealand. They’ll be at Eden Park in Auckland on November 24th, and at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch on November 28th.
Robbie shared in a statement that Australia and New Zealand hold a special place in his heart.
He went on to say that ever since he started touring on his own, his fans have always been incredibly welcoming and made him feel comfortable.
I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be returning this November for the BRITPOP World Tour! I can’t wait to see everyone there!
The singer, who was once in a popular boy band, will kick off his world tour in June. It will include performances in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Morocco, Luxembourg, and Denmark.
He’ll also play shows in Slovakia, Portugal, Switzerland, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Mexico.
Robbie performed a single show in Australia – a special New Year’s Eve concert at the Sydney Opera House in 2024.
Tickets for the Britpop Tour go on sale on March 26, with presale tickets available from March 20.
