Lisa Kudrow has reportedly stopped getting Botox after experiencing an unpleasant side effect from the injections.

The 62-year-old actress recently shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she experienced swelling and redness in her eyes after receiving Botox injections.

Honestly, after trying it, I noticed some irritation around my eyes and developed this strange rash on my forehead. Because of that, I’ve decided it’s just not worth it for me, and I’m moving on.

Lisa Kudrow revealed she only recently started using Botox, trying it for the first time on her 60th birthday. She also confessed she feels anxious about aging and is amazed people still recognize her.

She admitted she’s a little frightened of eventually resembling her grandmother, but she’s also looking forward to the challenge of playing older characters.

Courteney Cox is frequently commended for embracing her natural aging process, though she has shared that she underwent a significant nose job at age 16.

‘I went from, in my mind, hideous to not hideous,’ she told The Saturday Evening Post.

I made this change the summer before starting at a new high school. It was a relief knowing many people wouldn’t know what I used to look like, and it felt like a really positive shift.

In 2024, Lisa Kudrow discussed why she chose not to have more cosmetic procedures, even though she’s had a successful career in Hollywood.

She said she doesn’t criticize anyone for getting cosmetic procedures, as many people achieve great results. However, she personally worries that if a procedure doesn’t heal well, it could make her look older or change her appearance in a way she wouldn’t like, as she shared on the Armchair Expert podcast.

She wondered if she should follow the crowd, since everyone else seemed to be doing it. Was it okay for her to opt out? She worried that if she didn’t join in, it might bother people watching her and ruin their experience.

Lisa Kudrow is currently promoting the new season of her HBO series, The Comeback, which premieres on March 22nd.

In the hilarious comedy series, Kudrow stars as Valerie Cherish, a fading actress who’s determined to remain popular and finds herself in a sitcom uniquely written by artificial intelligence.

Originally airing in 2005, The Comeback received a lot of praise from critics, but HBO canceled it after only one season because not enough people were watching.

Even though the show was cancelled, it gained a dedicated fanbase and consistently appeared on critics’ lists of the best television shows of its time. This popularity led to its revival with a second season in 2014.

The show’s second season didn’t perform well with viewers, becoming the least-watched original scripted series on cable television during its broadcast.

The show was once again highly praised by critics, and Lisa Kudrow received nominations for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards and the Critics’ Choice Awards.

The upcoming third season has already won rave reviews from critics.

Kudrow has stated that this will be the final season of the show, and that decision won’t change even if it receives high ratings or positive reviews.

She explained that telling the story in three parts is the most respectful approach, both to the audience and to the character. This concludes the series, which she described as a trilogy.

Besides her work on The Comeback, Kudrow has recently appeared in the comedy-horror movie The Parenting and the AppleTV+ fantasy show Time Bandits.
