Jack Fincham announced he’s going back to rehab, only a week after publicly discussing his recent relapse.
The 34-year-old TV star, who first became well-known after winning Love Island with Dani Dyer in 2018, has previously said he didn’t have the money for rehab and only had about $25 to his name.
Jack recently shared his personal challenges with the public and has now announced he’s returning to rehab. He says he feels fortunate to have this opportunity to begin again.
Steps Together, a care provider, has reportedly offered former Love Island contestant a spot at one of their rehabilitation centers, starting Monday, according to The Sun on Sunday.
He’s expected to undergo two months of treatment at Rainford Hall in Merseyside, costing around £32,000. This will include therapy six days a week and regular physical training with a boxing coach.
I was so moved when Jack spoke about this incredible opportunity. He explained that he’d been really worried about not being able to afford treatment, and then this company stepped in and offered to help. He feels incredibly grateful – he knows how lucky he is, and he’s determined not to waste this second chance. It’s just amazing to see, and I’m rooting for him completely.
He continued: ‘I am going to work hard and not let anybody down.’
After sharing that he’d struggled with sobriety and relapsed last year, Jack tried to get help at a rehab facility. Unfortunately, he wasn’t eligible for NHS treatment and couldn’t afford a private facility.
Jack recently told The Sun that he started drinking heavily a few weeks before Christmas and realized he needs rehab, but he can’t afford the treatment now that he’s spent the money he earned on Love Island.
He supposedly showed a twenty-pound note, claiming it was all the money he had – he didn’t have any money in the bank.
The Love Island winner from last year had stopped drinking for a while, but recently started again, and it quickly got out of control.
He admitted to experimenting with drugs and alcohol, including nitrous oxide. He even recalled a time he was so intoxicated over Christmas that he kissed a woman but has no memory of it.
I’m so ashamed and feel like a complete fool. I’m 33 years old, and I expected to have my life together by now – to be married and settled down.
Jack was talking about Leisha Lightbody, a star from the show Married At First Sight. They were seen kissing at a Christmas light festival at Tulleys Farm in November.
This was the first time anyone had spotted him with a new person since his breakup with Chloe Brockett from the show TOWIE.
Okay, so some footage recently surfaced, and it looks like things are heating up between me and Leisha, who you might recognize from the latest season of Married at First Sight UK. We shared a pretty passionate kiss – it definitely came as a surprise to a lot of people, but it felt right in the moment!
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE it! She was paired with Reiss Boyce, that gorgeous 33-year-old, on the show, and I was so rooting for them! But sadly, it just didn’t last. Apparently, the distance was just too much for them after they said their vows. I’m heartbroken for her, honestly! They seemed so perfect together.
Jack and Chloe began dating in 2019, but their relationship has been on-again, off-again ever since. They’ve broken up multiple times, and even lived together at one point before splitting for the seventh time.
An eyewitness reported that Jack and Leisha were very affectionate with each other throughout the entire night, seemingly unconcerned about being seen.
Okay, so I’ve been totally keeping up with everything, and it’s SO obvious Leisha is over Reiss now! And Jack? Forget Chloe, he’s clearly moved on! But honestly, what I heard about them… it wasn’t just some silly little mistake, you know? It looked like way more than just a drunken kiss, seriously. I’m telling you, something’s definitely going on!
The Daily Mail contacted Jack and Leisha’s representatives for comment at the time.
Jack recently opened up about hitting rock bottom in a candid Instagram confession.
Wearing a bright Fila tracksuit, Jack began to talk openly to the camera. He explained that he’d made mistakes in the past because he listened to poor advice and surrounded himself with the wrong people.
I’ve definitely made big mistakes and learned some hard lessons throughout my life. I take full responsibility for everything I’ve done – I’m not blaming anyone else or playing the victim.
Okay, so Jack just told us what this next part is all about, and honestly, it’s devastating. He basically said it’s about seeing him at his absolute lowest – like, rock bottom. And he actually said it pains him to admit it, but that’s where he is right now. It’s heartbreaking, but I need to know everything! I have to see this journey, even if it’s painful for him – and for me!
I want to demonstrate that with a positive attitude and supportive people by your side, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
I have a clear vision for my future and the person I want to become. However, I’m definitely still figuring things out – I don’t have all the answers.
He explained that he started a YouTube channel to document his journey from the very beginning, hoping to inspire others by showing them how to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Jack admitted things would be straightforward and honest, delivered in his own voice. He wanted to speak directly, not offer a polished or pre-written statement.
This channel shares my personal story and recovery process. If you’ve ever struggled with feeling hopeless or hit a low point, I think you’ll find it relatable. Stay tuned for my first video, coming soon!
