“Outstanding” British show that will make you laugh out loud is now trending in top 10 on Netflix

Lucy Punch’s new comedy, Amandaland, is quickly becoming popular on Netflix, currently ranking as the eighth most-watched show. The series, a spin-off of Motherland, just arrived on the streaming service this week.

The show Amandaland features Punch as Amanda, a woman navigating life after a divorce. She’s had to adjust to a smaller home and a new neighborhood, moving from Chiswick to South Harlesden.

Her kids, Georgie and Manus, are now going through their challenging teenage years, and her mother, Felicity, remains as demanding as always.

Phillippa Dunne will be back playing Anne, Amanda’s friend, just as she did in Motherland. Samuel Anderson, Siobhán McSweeney, Rochenda Sandall, and Peter Serafinowicz are also joining the show’s cast.

The show Amandaland first aired in 2025 with six episodes, and a special Christmas episode followed in December. The BBC has ordered a second season, but a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
