Looking for a new show to binge-watch? Don’t miss Elisabeth Moss’s gripping new psychological thriller, Imperfect Women, which is available now.
In this captivating Apple TV series, the actor known for The Handmaid’s Tale appears with Kerry Washington and Kate Mara. The show delves into the complex, loving, and genuine connection between their characters over a ten-year period.
Based on Araminta Hall’s novel, Imperfect Women tells the story of Mary (Moss), Eleanor (Washington), and Nancy (Mara), and how a shocking event destroys the bond between these sisters.

The story blends a captivating murder mystery with the intense emotional struggles of its characters, leading to powerful performances from the three main actors.
As the story unfolds, the characters’ seemingly perfect lives and friendships begin to crumble, exposing their hidden weaknesses, doubts, and acts of betrayal.
As the series goes deeper, so do the performances, revealing the extensive range of the actors.
What to Read Next
Despite some questionable acting, the murder mystery is still engaging. The thriller keeps viewers guessing by cleverly changing who seems responsible.
Imperfect Women is a show that really pulls you in, ending each episode with cliffhangers that make you want to immediately start the next one. While the mystery does lose a little steam towards the finale, you’re already so caught up in the story that it doesn’t really matter.
Even so, we’d like to have seen a stronger portrayal of the connection between the women, as their relationship is central to why viewers care about the story.

Rather than creating a genuine connection, Imperfect Women only seems to portray a deep relationship. While the mystery and strong performances might temporarily engage viewers, the characters’ bond ultimately feels insincere and lacks depth.
Honestly, I was a little disappointed with how the show handled the topic of interracial dating. It felt like they just scratched the surface, and it didn’t really go deep enough, which left the whole storyline feeling a bit empty and unsatisfying to me.

Okay, so Imperfect Women isn’t perfect, let’s be real. But honestly, I was hooked! The story kept me on the edge of my seat with all the drama, and even though it wasn’t super deep, the high stakes made it totally worth watching. I’d definitely recommend checking it out.
The first two episodes of Imperfect Women are now streaming on Apple TV, with new episodes released every Wednesday.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
