Turkish fashion influencer Aysegul Eraslan found dead inside home at 27 as police probe mysterious passing

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Ayşegül Eraslan. She was a Turkish fashion influencer I really enjoyed following, and it’s just heartbreaking to learn she passed away at only 27 years old. The news said she was found at her home in Kağıthane, Turkey, on Friday, and I’m just devastated.

After relatives couldn’t reach Eraslan by phone, they traveled to her home and, finding no answer, contacted authorities. First responders then discovered Eraslan at her residence, according to reports from Turkish news sources Sözcü and Cumhuriyet.

Following a police review of the scene, medics at Eraslan’s home pronounced her dead. 

Following the investigation of the crime scene by the public prosecutor, the victim’s body was taken to a medical examiner for further analysis.

According to Sözcü, police reports from the Kağıthane Public Security Bureau show that Eraslan returned home on March 11th after traveling to Egypt, carrying a suitcase.

Security camera footage showed Turkish actor Sunay Kurtuluş entering the home of the victim, Eraslan, about an hour before her death, according to Sözcü. He left after a brief visit.

According to Cumhuriyet, Kurtuluș was questioned by officials and then released after providing a statement.

Kurtuluş’ lawyers released a statement on Instagram Sunday explaining that the actor was simply questioned as part of the investigation and has fully cooperated with authorities from the start.

Kurtuluș was ‘not at the scene of the incident at the time it occurred,’ his legal team said.

The statement continued, ‘We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ayşegül Eraslan. 

We offer our deepest sympathy to her family and friends, and pray for peace for her soul.

Daily Mail has reached out to police in Istanbul and Kurtuluș’s lawyer for additional comment.

The locations featured included Egypt, Denmark, Sweden, and several U.S. cities like Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, and Las Vegas.

A number of social media users posted memorials on Eraslan’s final post, put up five days ago.

One user expressed deep sorrow for the experiences and loss of Eraslan, stating that it’s tragic for someone so young to die. They offered their condolences and wished him peace.
