Kathy Griffin, 65, looks fabulous as a blonde bombshell while fans compare her to Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana

Kathy Griffin is certainly having a good hair day.

The 65-year-old comedian showed off a new white blonde hairstyle on Monday, a dramatic change from her previously known red hair.

She posted the photos on Instagram with the caption, ‘And you guys thought you knew me…,’ set to Madonna’s song ‘Who’s That Girl?’

I was totally stunned by her new look, and honestly, so were a lot of other fans! The biggest reaction was everyone wondering why she hadn’t made the change sooner. I saw one person on X write, ‘Seriously, what took you so long?’ and another playfully congratulated her, saying, ‘Finally went full Hollywood blonde bombshell – amazing!’ It’s just great to see her embracing this!

It’s unclear whether she dyed her hair blonde or was wearing a wig. One fan playfully commented, ‘Loving this wig look!’

Someone online criticized her for not matching her eyebrow color to her hair, suggesting she tone down the red tones. Another commenter playfully compared her to Miley Cyrus‘s character, Hannah Montana.

This comes after she had her third
facelift
and an ‘upper eye job’ last year.

Oh my god, you won’t BELIEVE this! I was reading Kathy’s memoir, ‘Official Book Club Selection,’ and she actually admitted she got a nose job! She said she was only 26 and felt pressured by Hollywood’s ridiculous beauty standards. It’s so sad, but honestly, it just makes me love her even MORE because she’s so real about everything!

She recalled being constantly told her looks would improve and her career prospects would brighten if she just fixed her nose. People frequently suggested she get a nose job, leading her to feel like she had an exceptionally large nose.

When I was younger, I was easily influenced. After hearing something repeatedly, I began to believe it and decided to get a rhinoplasty.

She stated in February that she feels justified and considers herself no longer ostracized, almost nine years after experiencing personal and professional repercussions for sharing a photo of what appeared to be a severed head resembling President Donald Trump.

WUSF asked the actress how she’s doing almost ten years after a national scandal led to her losing work and facing a federal investigation.

The Emmy-winning comedian expressed surprise and relief at being ‘uncanceled,’ saying she never thought it would happen.

Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, she discussed the aftermath of the scandal and how she’s been working to rebuild her career since then.

Griffin explained that she took seven years off from work. When she returned to touring, she created a special performance which is now available for free on YouTube. It’s called ‘Kathy Griffin: My Life on the PTSD List’.

Griffin acknowledged the photo taken by Tyler Shields will always be a part of how people see her, stating, ‘I’m still known for that picture.’

After all the controversies surrounding Trump, Griffin feels proven right for creating her controversial artwork early in his presidency. She sees it as a bold statement that now feels particularly relevant.

Griffin now fully embraces that past moment, feeling vindicated because he believes he was correct and ahead of the curve. Looking back at a photo from that time, he feels proud, especially knowing Donald personally.

She opened up about her longtime link to Trump that preceded his foray into politics.

Griffin said they’ve been acquainted since the 1990s and have worked together, which made it especially strange when this person specifically sought him out.

She revealed a comedic reaction Trump had whenever he ran into her when they were on better terms.

Griffin said that whenever they met, the person would seem frightened and would jokingly hold up four fingers as if making a cross, saying something like, “Oh, here she comes. She’s going to be hard on me. Don’t comment on my hair!”

I’ve always been so impressed with how Chelsea Griffin handles things, and she recently shared something really touching. She told me that advice from Jim Carrey – a fellow comedian she clearly admires – got her through a really difficult period starting back in May 2017. It’s amazing to see how she draws strength from her colleagues and shares that with us.

Griffin recalled a conversation with Jim Carrey shortly after the controversial photo went viral. Carrey told her that many comedians would consider such publicity a dream come true, even amidst the backlash she was facing.

Kathy Griffin shared that she was upset and crying, but her husband, Jim, encouraged her to look at the situation through the lens of her comedy, suggesting it would help her find the humor in it.

‘And then when I finally went back on the road after seven years, it was fantastic.

I’m amazed by how incredible the crowds have been at every show. It feels like they really accept and support me.

After the photo appeared and caused public criticism, Griffin was removed from his New Year’s Eve hosting job with CNN, where he was scheduled to work alongside Anderson Cooper.

Trump responded to a photo by Kathy Griffin with a tweet, saying she should be ashamed of herself. He explained that his children, particularly his 11-year-old son Barron, were upset by it, and called the situation ‘sick’.

Griffin subsequently apologized for the photo in a video, saying, ‘I sincerely apologize.

I’m just realizing how people are reacting to these images, and I clearly made a mistake. I went too far, and the image is deeply upsetting. I understand why it’s offensive – I see that now.

Griffin explained the image was inspired by past comments made by Trump, where he used violent language about journalist Megyn Kelly.
