LEGO reveals new Mario Kart Luigi set in time for movie release

LEGO is releasing a new set based on Mario Kart, coinciding with the recent movie launch.

You can now pre-order the Luigi & Mach 8 Kart, which will be available on April 1st – the same day as the UK release of The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

I was so excited when they announced a Luigi Kart set after the Mario one came out last May! Just like the Mario build, this Luigi & Mach 8 set is HUGE – it has over 2,200 pieces! It’s amazing how much detail they’ve packed into it. You can really tell they didn’t hold back!

Luigi isn’t just for show! Like the Mario figure, he’s fully poseable with a head, arms, and hands that move.

The Mach 8 model can be easily taken off its base and rolled. When you turn the steering wheel, the front wheels move, and rolling the back wheels makes the exhaust flames spin.

At 25cm high and 41cm long, it’s a full 9cm longer than Mario’s Standard Kart.
