As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited about Charlie Cox coming back as Daredevil! After getting to play Matt Murdock again in the MCU, he’s now gearing up for season two of Daredevil: Born Again. It’s crazy to think he’s already played this character in four live-action projects, starting with the Netflix Defenders series. But things are tough for Matt right now. Last we saw him, he was on the run after Wilson Fisk basically took over New York City and put a target on Daredevil’s back – facing danger from both Fisk and a task force specifically designed to stop vigilantes. I just read an exclusive interview with Charlie Cox on MovieWeb, and he shared some interesting thoughts about where Matt Murdock’s journey is headed in the new season. It sounds like we’re going to see a lot of character development!
Matt Murdock is facing one of his biggest challenges yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s relying on his friends and allies as he tries to reclaim the city from Wilson Fisk. Getting back on his feet won’t be easy, and he’s battling both external threats and his own inner demons.
In a recent interview with MovieWeb, Charlie Cox discussed how his character, Matt Murdock, is developing throughout the season. He described Matt as working to regain his self-assurance after losing faith in his own judgment. Cox enjoys portraying Matt’s vulnerability, particularly his reliance on Deborah Ann Woll’s character, Karen Page, as a feeling of danger builds. He also hinted at a significant choice Matt will face later in the season, but remained tight-lipped about the details.
He’s really struggling to regain his confidence and trust his own judgment. At the beginning, he seemed defeated and lacked self-assurance. Usually, he’s decisive and proactive, but now he’s heavily relying on Karen Page for guidance and support. It’s interesting to see a superhero be so vulnerable and uncertain.
As the season unfolds, he starts to feel a sense of dread and understands something important is coming. This realization helps him regain his confidence and prepare for a major, secret decision. He wonders how he will react when the time comes.

As Season 2 begins, Matt will need to use all his skills and resources if he hopes to defeat Wilson Fisk and his team. Having Jessica Jones as an ally will definitely be an advantage, but viewers are excited to see what other strategies he employs to protect New York City.
Early looks at Season 2 of Born Again suggest another action-packed and violent season, with both Daredevil and Kingpin facing serious challenges. The return of Wilson Bethel as Bullseye—who killed Foggy Nelson in Season 1—promises even more chaos. While details about Daredevil’s future in the MCU are still unfolding, this season could be his most dramatic yet, launching as part of Phase 6. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026.
