There aren’t a ton of new shows hitting streaming services this week, but here are five of the best. This list includes both brand-new series and returning favorites, and these shows are expected to be the most popular ones on Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV+, and Prime Video in the coming days.
March Madness kicks off this week, and streaming services appear to have released fewer new shows than usual, perhaps expecting more people to be watching basketball. However, Ebaster has picked out the top 5 new shows premiering between March 16th and 20th, 2026, that are likely to be the most talked about.
Born To Bowl
I just started watching a new docuseries on HBO called Born to Bowl, and it’s really good! Liev Schreiber, who I always enjoy hearing on Hard Knocks, narrates the show. It follows five bowlers on the PBA Tour, and a new episode comes out every Monday. The series has five parts, and the finale is scheduled for April 13th. If you’re a sports fan like me, I definitely recommend checking out the premiere!
Imperfect Women
This week, Apple TV+ is releasing a new series called Imperfect Women that many viewers are excited about. The first two episodes will be available this Wednesday, March 18th. The show stars Kerry Washington, Elizabeth Moss, and Kate Mara, and will have a total of eight episodes, concluding on April 29th.
The TV series Imperfect Women is based on Araminta Hall’s book and was developed for television by Annie Weisman, known for her work on shows like Suburgatory, Physical, and Desperate Housewives. The series centers around the investigation of a woman’s murder, uncovering hidden truths about her past. It’s a thrilling new mystery that Apple TV subscribers will definitely enjoy.
Beauty In Black
This week, Netflix is releasing the second part of season 2 for the popular series Beauty in Black on Thursday, March 19th. The show, created by Tyler Perry, originally premiered in 2024 and has been a success for the streaming platform. Beauty in Black tells the story of two women from very different backgrounds whose lives unexpectedly become intertwined, leading to dramatic and risky situations.
If you enjoy dramatic shows, Beauty in Black delivers! While it’s not likely to win any awards, it’s perfect for a long binge-watch, especially with its 16 episodes in the first season available on Netflix.
Jury Duty: Company Retreat
This week, Amazon Prime Video has a great lineup of new shows, including the premiere of Jury Duty: Company Retreat. Though it’s officially season two of the popular 2023 reality series Jury Duty – which was nominated for 4 Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series – this new season follows a different main character who thinks he’s temporarily working at a hot sauce company.
The first three episodes of Jury Duty: Company Retreat will be available on Prime Video starting Friday, March 20th. The remaining episodes will be released in two groups, on March 27th and April 3rd. The show follows Anthony, a temporary office worker, who thinks he’s attending a company retreat with his new colleagues, but everyone around him is actually a paid actor. The whole thing is designed to create funny and unexpected situations that challenge Anthony’s personality.
Deadloch
This Friday, March 20th, the highly-awaited second season of Deadloch arrives on Prime Video. The first season was a critical hit, earning a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, and is considered one of the best modern series to come out of Australia. Deadloch cleverly combines the styles of acclaimed murder mysteries like Broadchurch with sharp satire, all while delivering a compelling crime thriller. The first two episodes of season 2 will be available to stream on Prime Video this Friday.
