Joel Dommett ‘nearly died’ after dog attack on ITV’s Celebrity Sabotage

Joel Dommett shared a story about a scary incident on ITV’s Celebrity Sabotage, where he was attacked by a dog and felt like he almost died. The show involves celebrities playing pranks on people as a way to win prizes.

Joining host Romesh Ranganathan on the show are Sam Thompson and GK Barry, who viewers may recognize from I’m A Celebrity, along with Judi Love from Loose Women.

Celebrity contestants, acting as “saboteurs,” will try to disrupt people who believe they’re actually competing on genuine ITV game shows.

The new series, premiering on ITV on Saturday, March 21st at 8pm, will feature a comedic spin-off called Couple Goals, presented by Matt and Emma Willis.

The show will also include two funny spin-offs: a parody of The Apprentice called The Applicant, hosted by Sara Davies (formerly of Dragons’ Den), and a game inspired by Traitors, called The Backstabs, presented by Rylan Clark.

Celebrity saboteurs can add money to the prize fund by secretly playing pranks on the contestants. At the end of the show, that money is split amongst all the contestants.

Speaking to The Sun, Dommett said he was attacked by a Great Dane while disguised as a dog toy.

Describing the incident, he said: “There was a Great Dane and I was dressed as dog toys.

It was honestly terrifying. While I was disguised as dog toys and attempting to remove a collar from the dog without anyone seeing, GK tried to keep the owner occupied.

He joked that his dog was wearing a wig, and he himself had gone as dog toys. ‘It was obvious the dog just wanted to eat me,’ he said with a laugh, ‘I almost became a chew toy!’

I’m so excited about this new prank show! It’s basically a fresh take on Beadle’s About from the 90s, and Dommett just hinted at what we can expect – it sounds amazing!

He said: “It is absolute madness. It’s honestly the most I’ve laughed in ages.”

Celebrity Sabotage airs on ITV on Saturday 21 March at 8pm.
