Jessie Buckley took home the Best Actress award for her performance in Hamnte, and was seen sharing a warm embrace with her co-star, Paul Mescal, whom she playfully referred to as her ‘tall drink of water‘.

The co-stars had a fun night out, and Olivia Rodrigo was also enjoying herself, seen drinking tequila at the party.

Jessie achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first Irish woman to win the Best Actress award at the Oscars, giving her much to celebrate.

The 36-year-old actress, originally from County Kerry, had a historic night, leading the way for female winners as she accepted the Best Actress award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

To honor her roots, she finished her speech with a Gaelic farewell, saying ‘Go raibh maith agaibh, slán’ – which means ‘Thank you very much, goodbye’ in English.

She won against Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia).

Inspired by the novel of the same name, Hamnet tells the story of Agnes and William Shakespeare (played by Buckley and Paul Mescal) as they cope with the devastating loss of their son, Hamnet, to the plague in 16th-century England.

Agnes is a mother grieving a terrible loss, and she needs to find the inner strength to care for the children she has left.

For the party, she swapped her eye-catching pink and orange gown for a sleek, black dress.

Olivia also attended the party and turned heads in a beautiful, short dress by Saint Laurent, designed by Anthony Vaccarello.

She was having a great time at the party, enthusiastically toasting with her drink and then laughing heartily as she finished it.
