Faraaz Noor, a finalist on The Traitors, has explained the crucial mistake he believes led to him losing the £95,750 prize after Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy were ultimately victorious.
Stephen, 32, and Rachel, 42, each won £47,875 on the popular BBC show after competing against Faraaz, 22, Jade Scott, 25, James Baker, 38, and Jack Butler, 29, in the final round.
Faraaz recently shared the exact moment Rachel convinced him she was playing the role of the Traitor, and how she successfully changed his initial doubts about her.
He explained that a comment Rachel made right before the end was the crucial factor that led to his defeat.
During an interview on Sky News’ Mornings With Ridge and Frost, he explained that the moment that really resonated with him was during ‘Chest of Chance’ with James and Rachel. He recalled Rachel telling him after a discussion that she wanted to openly celebrate being a ‘Faithful’ player, and he said that’s precisely how he felt at the time.
As a person of faith, that really struck a chord with me, and it almost swayed my decision. I was torn between protecting my own interests by voting for Rachel, or staying true to my belief that Stephen was the right choice.
Faraaz, a dedicated player on the BBC series The Traitors, revealed why he unexpectedly voted for Stephen instead of Rachel during the final episode. He explained that this decision ultimately led to his own elimination and cost him a share of the £95,750 prize. You can watch the episode on Sky 501 and YouTube.

‘It was really 50/50 and my mind was made up when I stood there.’
In the last episode, the group decided to eliminate Faraaz first. Then, in a surprising turn of events, they voted Jack out in a second round of eliminations.
Rachel and Stephen were incredibly emotional when Claudia Winkleman revealed they’d won the competition.
The pair toasted their win with champagne, happily remembering their incredible experience on the show.
After winning the game, the pair joined the ‘Uncloaked’ aftershow to discuss the dramatic final moments.
Rachel said: ‘I was so nervous for Stephen, so watching it back, it made me cry.’
Honestly, watching that back was tough. You can really see the uncertainty on my face! But ultimately, I’m incredibly proud of the choice I made, and even more proud of Rachel and myself for navigating it all. It feels good to look back and know we did what was right for us.
Stephen had previously wondered if Rachel would stick to their agreement not to write each other’s names on the slates during their meetings.
After winning, the two explained they were committed to keeping their promise, even though they’d had some concerns at first.
Rachel immediately regretted what she said, but she was determined to stick to her agreement. She saw it as a personal challenge and refused to go back on her word.
Stephen explained that it’s difficult to trust anyone in the game because deception is part of their job. He admitted he doubted Rachel could keep her alliance throughout the entire game, and that’s why he was uncertain about her loyalty until the very end.
I was on the edge of my seat Thursday night when Claudia announced how the banishment would happen! She said it would be left to fate, and then brought out these amazing chests of chance – it was so dramatic and exciting, I couldn’t believe it!
Everyone picked a chest, and when they opened them simultaneously, Rachel found the shield inside. This secured her spot in the final five, eliminating James from the competition.
Earlier in the episode, Roxy Wilson became the last contestant to be ‘murdered’ on the BBC show.
The next morning at breakfast, Claudia let slip that Roxy had been keeping something hidden: her mother, Judy, was also competing.
As a huge Traitors fan, I was so relieved to hear that even though series 4 just finished, we won’t have to wait ages for more betrayals! They’ve confirmed Celebrity Traitors is coming back this year, which is fantastic news!
The BBC announced last November that the show will return for another season on BBC One in 2026, after its initial success.
Just before the final, most betting sites – like MyBettingSites, Sports Casting Bets, and OLGB – predicted Stephen would win. However, Ladbrokes disagreed, believing the Faithfuls would be victorious.
After a particularly intense episode, viewers of the BBC show widely believed Rachel would win the cash prize.
