Lisa Kudrow and her daughter, Ella Stiller, attended the premiere of the film The Comeback at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival this weekend.
The 62-year-old actress, known for her role on Friends, looked stylish and sophisticated at the Austin premiere of the third season of the HBO comedy on Sunday.
She was joined at the film festival by her castmates, including the daughter of Ben Stiller, who is also an actor, as well as the rest of the film’s team.
Courteney Cox helped create the original show and is returning to play her character in the new version, which is coming back after being off the air for over ten years.
She wore a chocolate brown, button-down dress to the premiere, cinched at the waist with a gold belt.
She looked stunning with her new, blonde bob haircut and subtle makeup that enhanced her natural features.
Ella, the 23-year-old daughter of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, displayed her fashion sense in a stylish silk and lace outfit.
She was wearing a black camisole with delicate lace and flower designs, along with a long, matching skirt and pointed-toe heels.
She pulled her hair back into a slicked-back updo and completed her look with gold, hoop earrings.
She is one of two children her famous father shares with his longtime wife Christine Taylor.
Ella and her brother Quinlin, who is twenty years old, both want to become actors, just like their parents.
She rejoined the cast of The Comeback for its new season, along with Lisa Kudrow reprising her role as Valerie Cherish.
In The Comeback, Kudrow stars as the leading character, a B-list sitcom star.
The HBO comedy first aired for one season in 2005, and then returned for a second season in 2014.
The show is returning for a third and final season, twelve years after it originally ended with ‘The Comeback’.
A new trailer has given fans a peek into what to expect in series three.
Valerie just got the main part in a new comedy called ‘How’s That?’, but she was shocked to learn it’s being written by artificial intelligence.
Michael Patrick King, known for writing and directing the popular series Sex and the City, also co-created The Comeback.
The show’s title refers to the storyline of the first season, which begins several years after Valerie first became famous on a sitcom.
I’ve been a huge fan of Valerie ever since her show, I’m It!, and I was so excited to hear she was making a comeback! After more than ten years away from TV, she documented her return in a new reality series called The Comeback, and I couldn’t wait to watch her shine again.
On aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, the first series has a score of 63% across 19 reviews.
Meanwhile, series two improves significantly on this, with a rating of 85% across 35 reviews.
Oh my god, the second series? It was just… incredible! The Independent totally nailed it – they called it one of the best comedies of the year, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more. It was hilarious and heartbreaking, sometimes at the same time. What I loved most was how brilliantly written it was; they never made fun of Valerie, even when her life was falling apart. And Kudrow? She was phenomenal! She made being totally self-absorbed seem… understandable, even kind of brave. I’ve rewatched it so many times!
Season three of The Comeback arrives on HBO March 22nd, and all episodes will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
