Yellowstone co-stars have an unexpected reunion one year after series finale

Yellowstone stars Luke Grimes and Dawn Olivieri had an expected reunion in Austin, Texas last week.

I spotted a fun reunion at SXSW! I ran into my former colleague, Grimes, and we snapped a quick selfie. It was great catching up with her at the festival.

She shared that she arrived in Austin for the SXSW festival and unexpectedly bumped into someone attractive after seeing a show with Joe Rogan.

The actress expressed her affection, saying she’s enjoyed their long-standing friendship and loves traveling with him. She also raved about his child, calling them incredibly talented, and wished them both continued success in their creative work.

Oh my god, I remember when Grimes was on the Joe Rogan Experience! It was amazing to hear him talk about leaving Hollywood and starting a new life in Montana. I’ve been following his journey ever since, and it was such a pivotal moment to hear him explain that big change!

‘They’re not happy about it,’ he said of locals in his new state. 

He explained that some friends from California came to visit him in the valley. They all went on a hike together in his friends’ car, which had California license plates.

As someone who loves exploring off the beaten path, I’ve learned to keep my exact locations pretty private. I once came back to my car after a hike and someone had actually written ‘go back’ in the dust! It sounds strange, but people can get really upset if they find out where I’ve been, so I prefer to keep those special spots to myself.

Grimes and his wife, Bianca Rodrigues Grimes, recently relocated from Los Angeles to a northern location, bringing their 17-month-old son, Rigel, with them.

He told Rogan he avoids bars now because there’s someone who’s always looking for trouble and eager to fight him whenever he goes.

I’m really not looking forward to this, because it seems like he’ll benefit no matter what – he could even sue me. Either way, I’m the one who ends up losing.

He explained to Fox News Digital in February that for several months each year, he’d travel for work. Returning to his actual home after filming felt like he was the one leaving, rather than returning.

Over a few years, we gradually transitioned into a new lifestyle, and my wife and I eventually fell in love with it and decided to make this place our home.

The Yellowstone series finale premiered in December 2024 after five seasons. 

Luke Grimes is now the star of the new show Marshals, which began airing on CBS on March 1st. He’s continuing to play his character, Kayce Dutton, from the original series.

The show premiered on Sundays and initially received mixed reactions, with critics giving it a 44% approval rating and viewers on Rotten Tomatoes scoring it 55%.

The actor, recently nominated for an award, has released two new singles, “Haunted” and “Love You Now,” from his upcoming album, Redbird.

The project will be released in full on April 3.

Grimes, a popular artist with over 737,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, will be performing live at DuckFest, a country music festival in Santiago, Mexico, on May 2nd.
