Adam Woodyatt, known for his role on EastEnders, has successfully resolved a tax dispute following the closure of his business management firm.
The 57-year-old actor co-founded XL Management with his former wife, Beverley Sharp, in 2012. Recent filings reveal the company has unexpectedly received a payment of £33,000.
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) had claimed Adam owed £139,000 in Corporation Tax, but his accountants disputed that amount.
A reported filed on the liquidation to Companies House showed that he paid £99,518 in tax.
The report noted that on February 16, 2026, HMRC confirmed a claim had been settled, and a total of £30,403.38, including interest, will be refunded.
HMRC has confirmed they won’t ask for any more money and the matter is now finished.
Records obtained by The Sun show the company held over £500,000 in cash when it went into liquidation. Adam and his former partner are set to split a remaining balance of £413,366.
The couple split in 2019, and their divorce was finalised in 2022 after 22 years of marriage.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial good management can be, and Adam really benefited from that with his ex-wife, Beverly. She was instrumental in landing him those fantastic opportunities on EastEnders and in pantomime – she truly knew how to negotiate a great deal for him!
After their breakup, Adam closed XL Management, a company that helped actors with their careers. The company’s simple website only listed an email address for actors hoping to be represented.
Adam remained the company’s sole client, and he’s now being represented by a different firm.
The actor completed his divorce from Beverly three years ago, following a lengthy negotiation process after they publicly announced their separation following 22 years of marriage.
Former dancer Beverley is reportedly very happy with the financial agreement reached after a difficult split, following claims that the breakup turned sour because her ex-partner wouldn’t offer her a fair settlement.
At the time, a source close to Bev has told The Sun: ‘Bev and Adam are now officially divorced.
Oh my gosh, Bev wasn’t just his wife, you guys, she was everything for his career! She managed him for, like, twelve years, and honestly, he wouldn’t be where he is today without her. She did absolutely so much to get him where he is, it’s incredible!
She turned down a few initial settlement offers, but she’s happy she did. She’s very pleased with the final agreement.
She’s still not sure why he ended things, but she’s moved on and sees it as a fresh start. I’m confident Bev will find someone else quickly – she’s doing really well right now.
Sources say Beverley was very upset with Adam for accepting a lucrative deal to appear on I’m A Celebrity in 2021, especially since she was having financial difficulties at the time.
He reportedly agreed to receive £250,000 for appearing on the ITV reality show.
According to The Sun, Bev wasn’t happy with the arrangement. The publication reported she was having financial difficulties, and photos showed her purchasing discounted groceries as a mother of two.
Adam was reportedly giving Bev temporary financial support while they were getting divorced.
They share children Jessica, 33, and Samuel, 28.
