I was so excited when Scrubs came back last month! It had been 16 years since we last saw JD, Turk, Elliot, and Dr. Cox, and I’d honestly been missing them all. ABC brought it back for a new season – a tenth one, with nine episodes – and it was like catching up with old friends.
Though the season finale isn’t scheduled to air until April 15th, fans are already asking if the show will return for another season at Sacred Heart Hospital.
I was reading an interview with Bill Lawrence over at Deadline, and he said everyone involved is really hoping the show gets renewed for a lot more seasons! They’re keeping their fingers crossed, which is great to hear as a fan.

He expressed his happiness and gratitude that people are still watching the show. He really cares about the cast and crew, and he explained that the intention wasn’t to simply remake the original, but to continue the story with a new generation of characters.
As a fan, I’m really excited about where this show is going! Disney just announced that the first episode brought in 11.4 million viewers in its first five days, which is a fantastic sign for the future. It definitely seems like things are heading in the right direction.
