If the Netflix series One Piece continues adapting the story at its current rate, it will take a significant amount of time before Usopp achieves his goal of reaching Elbaph. Episodes 4 and 5 of One Piece season 2 gave Usopp a particularly strong character arc. The show consistently portrays Usopp as shy, but he always steps up and courageously supports his friends when they need him.
Usopp played a key role in winning several battles against the Baroque Works organization during season 2 of One Piece, particularly during the fight at Little Garden. Meeting the giants Brogy and Dorry inspired him to be more courageous, and he later set a goal to visit their homeland, Elbaph, a place known as a refuge for strong warriors.
I was so thrilled when One Piece season one showed us Usopp’s dream – to be a courageous warrior of the seas! It immediately made me think about Elbaph, and how much he’d want to go there. Now, I’m really wondering when we’ll actually see that happen in the Netflix series. It’s a big question on my mind!
Given that One Piece is a very long manga and anime series, and considering how quickly Netflix is adapting the story, here’s a prediction of when Usopp might reach Elbaph.
Usopp Could Reach Elbaph In Season 15 Of Netflix’s Live-Action One Piece
At its current rate, the Netflix version of One Piece probably won’t reach the Elbaph arc until season 15 or later. This estimate is based on the show currently covering the Alabasta Saga from the manga, which ends at chapter 217.
The third season of the One Piece live-action series will finish adapting a specific storyline, covering a total of 217 chapters across the three seasons – averaging about 72 chapters per season. The anime is now set to adapt the ongoing Elbaph Arc from the manga, with new episodes expected to start appearing in April 2026.
The Elbaph Arc started in chapter 1126 of the manga. Based on how quickly Netflix is adapting One Piece, it would take the live-action series 15 seasons to get this far. It’s very unlikely the show will run that long, given current television trends.
As a huge One Piece fan, I’ve been thinking about how Netflix is handling the story, and it’s clear they’re streamlining things from the manga. Because of that, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the Elbaph arc adapted before season 15. But honestly, judging by how many chapters they cover each season so far, it’s going to be a long wait – both for us to see Elbaph on screen, and for Usopp to finally get his story moving again after the end of season 2!
Usopp Hasn’t Been The Star Of One Piece’s Elbaph Arc So Far
The delay is frustrating on its own, but it’s made worse by the criticism surrounding the current story arc in the manga. Many fans are unhappy with how Usopp is being portrayed – he’s been sidelined despite previously expressing a strong desire to visit the land of the giants.
It’s possible Usopp will become more central to the story before the Elbaph arc ends. Right now, however, his part feels underwhelming. If the Netflix live-action series reaches Elbaph, hopefully Usopp will have a more significant role than he currently does in the manga, building on the strong character development he received in season 2.
