Former Gladiators star Jet has shared her experience with being stalked for ten years, explaining that the situation became so frightening she was forced to involve the police.
Diane Youdale, known as Jet on the TV show Gladiators, was a cast member for the first four seasons, from 1992 to 1995.
The show’s success made Diane famous, but also brought her unwelcome attention.
Diane recently shared her experience with being stalked, telling The Daily Star Sunday that she’s been targeted by a few people over the last decade. She explained that their behavior went too far and was very upsetting.
She explained that dealing with a stalker is frightening because you never know what they might do. It’s crucial to treat the situation with the seriousness it deserves.
This situation has caused problems for the police, and I need to be careful as a result. Ultimately, everyone deserves to live their life without being disturbed.
Diane admitted that she perhaps would have said no to the show if she knew how big it would get.
Despite the attention, she’s done her best to maintain a private life.
The star now works as a psychotherapist, counsellor and choreographer.
Diane revealed in an interview with the Daily Mail last year that she physically assaulted her former wife, Zoe Gilbert, claiming she felt intimidated and controlled throughout their one-year marriage.
Diane recently discussed her brief marriage to teacher Zoe, whom she married in a small ceremony in July 2023. The proposal happened quickly, just four months after they started dating.
Diane’s relationship with Zoe was her first publicly known romance with a woman. She had previously shared that she felt an instant connection with Zoe, realizing she was the one just days after they met in a supermarket.
The popular model from the nineties revealed she lost her temper in 2023, explaining she had reached her breaking point.
The ex-television personality stated that their relationship peaked during a fight when Diane allegedly pushed on Zoe’s chest three times after Zoe fell off the back of a sofa.
Just weeks after their small wedding, police visited the couple’s home in the North East following an incident. Diane was questioned, but not arrested, and this ultimately led to the end of their marriage.
Diane also accused teacher Zoe of turning her own family against her.
She even thinks their first meeting at Tesco wasn’t a coincidence, but something Zoe planned all along.
Diane, who is very physically fit, revealed she felt suicidal as her marriage fell apart. She explained, ‘She never loved me – I was completely deceived.’
She explained that she felt used and manipulated, like someone had deliberately led her into a vulnerable situation. She believes the other person is now trying to gain attention by talking about what happened.
‘I am sickened to the core by her allegations. She wants to bring me down and dance on my grave.’
Describing how their relationship turned violent, Diane said: ‘Eventually, I snapped.
She collapsed behind the sofa. I gave three firm chest compressions and told her to stop. After that, my memory is hazy. I suddenly found myself being escorted out by the police.
The living room was completely trashed – coffee was splattered everywhere, and there was writing all over the walls. She’s blaming me for it, but I honestly didn’t do it. I’m starting to wonder if I’ve blocked the whole thing out of my memory.
In 2023, an incident occurred at Zoe’s house, where Diane had been living while she and Zoe were together, until they broke up.
She claims the nature of their romance made her feel so low that she contemplated ending her life.
