The second part of the Genshin Impact 6.4 update will begin on March 17th, 2026, and last until April 6th, 2026. This update will bring back two popular characters in a shared banner, alongside three 4-star characters.

The second set of character banners in Genshin Impact’s Version 6.4 features Skirk and Escoffier, making it tough to choose who to wish for. The best choice depends on what your team needs and what you’re looking forward to in the game. Both characters are strong, but one might be a better investment for your current and future gameplay. Here’s a guide to help you make your decision.

1. Skirk

Skirk is a powerful 5-star character who wields a Cryo Sword. She’s built to be a main damage dealer in battle, relying on her unique Serpent Subtlety energy system and working especially well in teams that focus on freezing enemies. She quickly deals a lot of Cryo damage with her attacks.

Skirk isn’t as versatile as other damage dealers unless she’s part of a team built around freezing enemies. However, if you create a ‘Freeze’ team, she’ll be a strong asset.

2. Escoffier

Okay, so Escoffier is a super strong 5-star character who uses a Cryo Polearm. I mainly use him as support or a secondary damage dealer in my team. He’s amazing at freezing enemies and really shines in teams built entirely around Cryo damage – basically, he’s a Cryo specialist!

As part of a freeze team, she lowers enemy Cryo and Hydro resistance by 55%. Escoffier also inflicts significant Cryo damage with her skill and can fully heal the team using her Burst.

Should You Pull Skirk or Escoffier

Skirk and Escoffier are equally valuable characters to obtain. Escoffier is essential for maximizing Skirk’s damage – without her, Skirk’s damage output is reduced by half. However, pulling Escoffier opens up team-building options, allowing her to be used in Freeze or Mono Cryo teams. You should pull Skirk if you already have Furina or Escoffier, as she performs significantly worse without either of them.
