After acquiring BET, Paramount is preparing to shut down its streaming service BET+.
As part of a company restructuring, Paramount+ will combine its streaming service with another. They are also repurchasing the 25% ownership stake in BET+ that filmmaker Tyler Perry previously held. The specific terms of the deal haven’t been made public yet.
