The Traitors: Uncloaked host Ed Gamble gives fans TWO major show updates after Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy’s nail-biting win

Comedian Ed Gamble shared two important updates for viewers of ‘The Traitors’ on the latest ‘Uncloaked’ episode, following Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy’s exciting victory on Friday.

Applications are now being accepted for the fifth season of The Traitors, as announced by the show’s host, who is 39 years old.

During Friday’s show, Ed encouraged viewers who enjoyed watching the players and seeing the prize money won to apply for the fifth series of the show.

He also mentioned that fans can currently watch another season of The Traitors to keep them entertained while they wait for the UK celebrity version, which is coming out later this year.

Okay, so I’m completely hooked on The Traitors Ireland, seriously! And if you’re like me and already need MORE after just a couple of episodes, you absolutely HAVE to check out the first two on BBC iPlayer. Trust me, you won’t regret it – I’ve already watched them like five times!

Stephen Libby, 32, and Rachel Duffy, 42, each won £47,875 on the popular BBC show after competing against James Baker, 38, Faraaz Noor, 22, Jade Scott, 25, and Jack Butler, 29, in the final round.

In the last episode, the group first decided to banish Faraaz, and then, in a surprising turn of events, they voted to eliminate Jack.

Rachel and Stephen were incredibly emotional when Claudia Winkleman revealed they’d won the competition.

The pair toasted their win with champagne, happily remembering their amazing experience on the show.

After winning the game, the pair discussed the dramatic final moments on the after-show, Uncloaked.

Rachel said: ‘I was so nervous for Stephen, so watching it back, it made me cry.’

Stephen explained he was unsure of what to do at the time, and watching the footage now, he can see his uncertainty in his expression. Ultimately, he feels very proud of the choice he made, both for himself and for Rachel.

Earlier in the show, Stephen worried that Rachel wouldn’t stick to their agreement: they’d promised not to write each other’s names on the slates during roundtable discussions.

You know, after celebrating their victory, I spoke with the duo about why they held firm to their promise, even when things got a little shaky at first. They really believed in honoring their commitment, and it was great to hear them explain their reasoning.

Rachel immediately regretted what she said, but she was determined to stick to her agreement. She saw it as a personal challenge and refused to go back on her word.

Stephen explained that it’s difficult to trust anyone in the game because deception is part of their job. He admitted he doubted Rachel could keep her promise throughout the entire game, and that’s why he remained uncertain until the very end.

On Thursday night, the host, Claudia, explained that a random draw would decide who was eliminated, and she introduced the chests containing the fateful decision.

Everyone picked a chest and opened it simultaneously. Rachel was fortunate enough to find the shield in hers, which eliminated James and secured her spot in the final five.

Earlier in the episode, Roxy Wilson became the last contestant to be ‘murdered’ on the BBC show.

The next morning at breakfast, Claudia let slip that Roxy had been keeping something hidden: her mother, Judy, was also competing.

Now that season four has finished, fans of The Traitors can look forward to more betrayal soon – Celebrity Traitors is coming back this year!

The BBC announced last November that the show’s successful format will return for another series on BBC One in 2026.

Just before the final competition, most betting sites – like MyBettingSites, Sports Casting Bets, and OLGB – predicted Stephen would win. However, Ladbrokes believed the Faithfuls would be the winners.

Despite the suspense, many viewers of the BBC show believed Rachel would win the prize money, especially after the show’s incredibly dramatic second-to-last episode.
