911: Lone Star season 5 will not air more episodes in 2024 (but we have a return date)

As a hardcore fan of 911: Lone Star, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon learning about its return and the impending series finale. On one hand, I’m elated that we’ll get to see our beloved characters navigate through yet another harrowing situation in January 2025. The asteroid scenario sounds like it’s going to be quite the rollercoaster ride!

We have some bad news for 911: Lone Star fans. There isn’t going to be another new episode in 2024.

Indeed, you’re correct; the series has temporarily halted its run. The 9th episode of 911: Lone Star‘s season 5 served as the winter finale, and it certainly lived up to the name! Carlos finally uncovered the answers he sought, but those answers didn’t bring him a sense of resolution. Furthermore, Judd’s storyline took an unexpected turn that left us all in shock.

There are several developments ongoing. It remains uncertain if Owen will alter his professional plans, and we’re waiting to learn about how Tommy fares in her cancer therapy. We’ll have to be patient as we won’t get the answers right away.

When is 911: Lone Star season 5 back with new episodes?

The great news is that the wait won’t be excessive. This isn’t a repeat of Season 8 of 911, where fans had to endure waiting until March! Instead, FOX will air 911: Lone Star in January 2025.

The show comes back on January 20th, Monday. It’ll maintain its usual timeslot of 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time. As before, it will serve as a prelude for the emergency responder drama “Rescue: Hi-Surf”.

A hint of what’s coming when the show resumes: An emergency alert is issued in Austin, warning them about an approaching asteroid that could potentially bring about the end of their known world. Naturally, this will cause distress among the residents of Austin and lead to several real emergencies as the asteroid strikes. Although it might not be as catastrophic as initially feared, there’s no denying that there will likely be numerous casualties.

The 911: Lone Star series finale date is set

There is more bad news that comes with this post. Of course, this is the final season, and we now know when 911: Lone Star will end. The series finale is set to air on Monday, Feb. 3.

Just three episodes remain for the series! It’s tough to wrap my head around the fact that we’re almost at the conclusion, and it seems like the finale might involve some kind of catastrophic event or apocalypse.
