911: Lone Star could get a spin-off involving Carlos and his new partner

As a dedicated fan with countless hours invested in the gripping world of 911, I eagerly anticipate the fifth and final season of 911: Lone Star. The prospect of Carlos embarking on a new journey as a Texas Ranger is not only intriguing but also long overdue.

As an ardent fan, I must admit that 911: Lone Star remains our final installment in the franchise, but there’s a glimmer of hope for more! A potential spin-off is on the horizon, and it seems our beloved character Carlos might take center stage. Exciting times ahead!

It’s clear that Carlos has not been utilized as much as other characters in the series, often finding himself tied to TK’s storylines instead. However, this is set to change. Carlos is going to become deeply invested in uncovering the truth behind his father’s murder, a pursuit that could potentially create tension between him and TK.

Carlos becomes a Texas Ranger in 911: Lone Star Season 5

In the fifth and concluding season of the show, Carlos is shifting gears in his career path. Having spent numerous years serving as a policeman, he’s now transferring to the Texas Rangers. This move offers him an opportunity to uphold his father’s legacy, while simultaneously investigating who was responsible for his father’s death.

In collaboration with Campbell, portrayed by Parker Young, he will team up. It’s being suggested by TVLine that there could be a spin-off featuring them. From the get-go, they share a bond akin to brothers, where they often irritate each other yet function harmoniously.

It’s not unexpected that a spin-off hasn’t been commissioned so far, as the series is nearing its conclusion and the concept hasn’t been explored within the show up until this point. The upcoming season serves as an opportunity to demonstrate its potential success.

We’d be thrilled if Carlos could join our flagship series as a way to retain him, though it seems unlikely. On the other hand, it’s possible that TK might move to LA, but we doubt Carlos would leave his widowed mother. This becomes even less likely once he (presumably) finds out who killed his father.

911: Lone Star Season 5 premieres on Monday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c on Fox.
