911 audio reveals The Wire star Bobby J Brown’s final moments in barn fire as frantic wife tried to save his life

Newly released 911 recordings provide more details about the devastating barn fire that tragically took the life of actor Bobby J. Brown on Tuesday.

According to TMZ, 62-year-old Brown was overcome by smoke while attempting to jump-start a car inside a barn on Thursday.

As a lifestyle expert focused on home safety, I want to share an update regarding a recent tragic incident. The official investigation, completed by the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, determined the cause of death was severe burns and smoke inhalation. Importantly, they’ve ruled this a heartbreaking accident, meaning there was no indication of foul play.

It’s heartbreaking to learn new details about what happened with Brown’s rescue. We’re now hearing audio of the emergency services trying to organize help, and it’s just awful knowing his wife, Arlene, was so determined to save him that she apparently suffered terrible burns trying. It really highlights the desperate situation everyone was in.

Dispatchers shared that Arlene called to say her husband was stuck inside a barn—measuring 50 by 100 feet—after a fire started when he attempted to start his classic Cadillac.

Emergency services were dispatched, including two fireboats due to the home’s proximity to the water, to deliver water to the house, as suggested by a dispatcher.

I heard one of the dispatchers mention we had a problem with visibility – apparently, two of our fire engines were having trouble getting into position when they arrived at the fire. It sounded like things were a little tight at the scene.

The dispatcher instructed the first responders to come down the driveway, noting that the space to access it was limited.
