90s TV star Amanda de Cadenet reveals her daughter Atlanta, 33, has married singer David Macklovitch in a courthouse ceremony as she shares snaps of her Chanel-inspired dress

Amanda de Cadenet, a well-known actress from 90s television, has announced that her oldest daughter, Atlanta, recently married singer David Macklovitch in a small, private ceremony at the courthouse.

Atlanta, age 33, posted photos on Instagram from her wedding day. The pictures show her and her husband after they got married at Brooklyn Court House, following seven years as a couple.

Atalanta looked stunning in a stylish wedding dress reminiscent of Chanel, complete with a veil. Her husband, David, one member of the electro-funk group Chromeo, wore a classic black tuxedo.

Amanda, 53, posted photos of her daughter’s wedding, writing: ‘My oldest daughter, @atlantabean, is married, and @dave1 is now officially part of the family!’

‘Expect a week of wedding photos!’

Oh my gosh, I totally remember when Atlanta first announced she was engaged to David! It was back in 2020, and she posted the cutest thing on Instagram! She was just so excited – she literally wrote ‘Awwwwweeeeeee!’ and said it was right after (or the weekend after, which she totally counted, haha!) they got engaged. I’ve been following their relationship ever since, and it was such a sweet moment!

Amanda was a popular television host in the 1990s, known for shows like The Word and Big Breakfast. In 1992, she relocated to the United States.

After moving to Los Angeles, she had several well-publicized relationships, one of which was with actor Keanu Reeves.

In recent years, Amanda has worked as a fashion and portrait photographer.

She’s collaborated with big publications such as Harper’s Bazaar, Jane and Spin.

Amanda is both a photographer and a writer. She has published three books: *Rare Birds*, *The Watchers*, and her latest, *It’s Messy: Essays on Boys, Boobs, and BFFs*, which came out in 2017.

She’s published a book of her photography, titled #girlgaze: How Girls See the World.

Amanda shared that she appreciates Keanu Reeves remaining a supportive presence in her life, even after their romantic relationship ended. She credits him with helping her regain trust in men.

Oh my gosh, can we talk about Keanu Reeves? I’m completely obsessed, and it’s just amazing to me that he dated this TV personality from ’96 to ’01! She’s always been so respectful of his privacy, which I adore, and she says she really admires how he manages to live a normal life *despite* being so famous. It’s like he just balances everything perfectly, and it’s honestly inspiring. I’m so glad someone understands how important it is to protect him!

She shared with The Guardian that she’s careful to protect his privacy, but described him as a genuinely kind and authentic person.

He’s strangely well-known yet manages to stay out of the spotlight, which is a rare talent. I’m lucky to consider him part of my family and I really appreciate him.

My husband and my close friend, Keanu, really helped me regain my trust in men. It’s rare to find young men in his line of work who prioritize being married.

‘I mean, he [Nick] became a father at 24 and he had never held a baby before he held his twins’

Amanda playfully shared that after their twins were born, her husband, the musician from ‘Last Nite,’ took some time off from the band to help with the babies. She admitted she eventually hoped he’d return to touring.

The television personality, known for hosting ‘The Big Breakfast,’ was married to John Taylor, the bassist from Duran Duran, in the early 1990s. They have a 30-year-old daughter named Atlanta.

She married Nick Valensi of The Strokes in 2006, and they have 18-year-old twins, Ella and Silvan. She shared that both Keanu Reeves and Nick helped her regain her trust in men.

She explained that when his children were born, he took a break from the Strokes to focus on being a good father.

It was a huge adjustment when my husband started staying home with the baby full-time! Suddenly, I was getting requests around the clock – things like, ‘They’re hungry again!’ or ‘Could you pump some extra milk? The little one didn’t quite finish their last feeding.’ It definitely changed our routine!

‘I was like: ‘Oh my God, can you go on tour again, please.’
