90s Rocker Billy Corgan Welcomes Baby Daughter Juno, His Third Child with Wife Chloe

90s icon Billy Corgan recently expanded his family, welcoming a newborn daughter with his wife, making her their third child together.

On a Tuesday morning, Billy Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins and his partner, Chloe Mendel, revealed that they had welcomed their baby girl, Juno, into the world.

In a family residence in Illinois, the elderly couple, both aged 58, have been joined by a new addition – Chloe, 32, who recently gave birth to their child, making it a household of four, including Augustus, nine, and six-year-old Philomena.

In an interview they announced baby Juno weighed 9lb 9oz and measured 22 inches long.

Billy shared with People magazine that his wife, Chloé, is on the mend and making a strong recovery, while their baby girl, Juno, is thriving and in great health. She’s even showing an enthusiastic appetite for nursing.

He added: “The children are overjoyed about their new sister, and since they’re nine and six years old, they can hardly wait until she grows up enough to play with them.

More recently, the rocker confessed that he had abandoned his aspirations for a family prior to meeting Chloe in 2012.

They married in September 2023 after welcoming their first child in 2015 and second in 2018. 

Previously, he disclosed that he talks about his past traumatic experiences from childhood with his children in an episode of the Jen Eckhart-hosted REINVENTED podcast.

In the interview, he disclosed that his dad, William Dale Corgar, had previously shared with him that the mistreatment he endured as a child was beneficial for him since it helped shape him into a more powerful rock star.

Billy emphasized again that it was a genuine statement and added humorously, “It’s quite amusing, don’t you think?

He acknowledged that his past experiences have significantly impacted his style of parenting, as he put it: ‘Indeed, I firmly endorse the idea that traumas can be passed down from one generation to another.’

In simpler terms, a significant part of our upbringing, both for my sibling and me, seems to have stemmed from the experiences and lessons passed down to our parents.

He expressed that raising children is intricate and not as straightforward as basic arithmetic, and he emphasized: ‘Even with the idea of “Yes, I’m disciplining you physically, but I’m doing it less than I was disciplined myself,” this doesn’t necessarily make it right.’

One day while we were on a drive, my daughter made a comment suggesting that I don’t like or have negative feelings towards my father. To clarify, I replied, “No, not at all. I actually adore my dad.

Billy emphasized the value of providing children with a less lopsided perspective on conflicts, focusing more on fairness.

He described this concept: ‘At ages 8 and 5, children can grasp the idea that one can have a complex mix of love and problems with someone in their life. Let’s label it as the “quantum nature” of such relationships.’

‘That it’s not so simple as dividing the world into good guys and bad guys.’
