90s game show host looks completely unrecognisable as he announces new project – but can YOU guess who it is?
Oh, my dear fellow fans of timeless entertainment, let me tell you about the thrilling revelation that has sent shockwaves through our collective consciousness! The enigmatic, multi-talented Richard O’Brien, the man who brought us “The Crystal Maze” and the iconic “Rocky Horror Show”, is back with a brand new project!
A 90s game show host looked completely unrecognisable as he announced an upcoming project.
The actor, 82, from New Zealand, is famed for fronting The Crystal Maze game show in the 1990s.
He also created the Rocky Horror Show in the 1970s, which has since remained in production.
As a devoted admirer and follower, I am thrilled to announce that I’ve recently embarked on an exciting creative journey, crafting a fresh dark fairytale musical titled “The Kingdom Of Bling.” Stepping into a new phase of my artistic life, I find myself far removed from my youthful appearance as I eagerly share details about this innovative project.
But can you guess who it is?

It’s… Richard O’Brien!
The creator looked completely different compared to his hosting days on The Crystal Maze show.
Speaking about his new musical, Richard said he was inspired by Donald Trump’s presence.
He told The New Zealand Herald: ‘I was driven to write it by the dreadfulness of Donald Trump’s presence in the world.
As a seasoned observer of political landscapes, I’ve seen my fair share of characters that leave a lasting impression – for better or for worse. But none have cast such a long and ominous shadow as Donald Trump. Having grown up in a world where stories were spun to teach moral lessons and impart wisdom, I can’t help but see a dark twist in the tale when it comes to Mr. Trump.
As stated by the actor, the production takes inspiration from classic tales such as Peter and the Wolf, and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
The 40 minute play sees Richard narrate alongside a string of characters.
Richard will be donating all proceeds from the show to the Starship Children’s Hospital.

The musical kicks of its tour in New Zealand in October and will travel across the country.
He’s been wedded to Sabrina Graf since 2013; she is thirty years younger than him. Prior to that, he was married to Jane Moss from 1983 until 2006.
He shares children Joshua, 40, and Amelia, 34, with Jane, and Linus, 50, with ex Kimi Wong.
