9 Taskmaster favourites we need to see in season 2 of the streaming hit series Last One Laughing

2025 saw the explosive success of “Last One Laughing,” a groundbreaking comedy series, which made its premiere on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. Not only did it captivate audiences, but it also broke numerous records along the way.

In the program, a bunch of comics are assembled in a single space, challenged to keep straight faces – all while attempting to crack one another up uncontrollably.

As a dedicated viewer, I’m thrilled to see familiar faces from the beloved “Taskmaster” series gracing our screens once more! These include the hilarious duo Bob Mortimer and Daisy May Cooper, the witty Joe Lycett, the quirky Lou Sanders, and the brilliant Judi Love. It’s like a reunion of comedic talents that never fails to entertain!

What to Read Next

The Channel 4 series has shown itself as an excellent source of comedy talent for the show “Last One Laughing,” and since a second season is coming up, we’ve highlighted nine other individuals from the same series who could make excellent additions to it.

Phil Wang

In the realm of gaming challenges, I gave it my best shot during season 7 of Taskmaster, but let’s just say I didn’t quite make it to the winner’s circle. I ended up at the bottom of the pack and unfortunately, I’m one of the rare few who have never bagged a victory in this show’s history.

Nevertheless, he was filled with amusing, unforgettable instances such as exaggeratedly spinning a hula hoop in slow motion and donning a Bruce Lee suit that provided few visual mysteries.

Fatiha El-Ghorri

At present, El-Ghourri is keeping viewers in fits of laughter during the current 19th season of Taskmaster, and was crowned victor in the latest sixth episode. In this episode, she excelled in tasks such as making a competitor appear to be the parent of the others.

No doubt she’d have her fellow comedians struggling on Last One Laughing.

James Acaster

In the seventh season, Acaster shared screen time with Wang, offering viewers numerous unforgettable instances such as attempting to cycle while simultaneously hula-hooping and comically disregarding Horne at the onset of every assignment.

In the end, Acaster finished in fourth position during his season, an accomplishment that made him the highest-scoring fourth-place contestant the show has ever seen with 165 points. Undeniably, he would be a formidable contender on Last One Laughing. To quote him directly: “Prepare for the unexpected, you never know!

Noel Fielding

In 2017 during the fourth season, one of the co-hosts from The Great British Bake Off took part in Taskmaster and managed to win it. Later, he participated in the inaugural season of Champions of Champions.

The comedian’s artistic abilities served him well, not to mention his humorously absurd stunt of putting a cake into a washing machine. Indeed, we always looked forward to the unpredictable antics of Fielding.

Mike Wozniak

Among the unforgettable participants on “Taskmaster,” Wozniak generated a wealth of classic moments – such as his exhilarating effort to create a fart that ended up dislodging a hemorrhoid, and his insightful explanation about a symbolic nipple, among others.

In the eleventh season, the comedian finished second place, but his popularity was such that he landed a role as an assistant on Junior Taskmaster. It’s clear that he could bring about complete mayhem in Last One Laughing.

Fern Brady

In the fourteenth season of Taskmaster, Brady finished in a tie for fourth place. Despite ending up last in just two tasks during the entire series, which was the lowest ranking among all the contestants who ended up at the bottom.

1. Notable occurrences from the comedian’s act involve stuffing Horne into a flexible tube made of rubber for a transformation, and a somewhat lackadaisical endeavor at gymnastics inside an airport, which is bound to leave spectators in fits of laughter.

2. Some unforgettable instances during the comedian’s performance were pushing Horne into a rubber tunnel for a makeover, as well as attempting clumsy acrobatics within an airport, both situations that would undoubtedly tickle the funny bones of onlookers.

Nish Kumar

A comedian who often ended up at the bottom, Kumar, was featured on season 5 of “Taskmaster,” and is one of the eight competitors who have never triumphed in any episode. However, his intriguing shifts between moods were a captivating aspect of that season, which certainly boosted his chances for “Last One Laughing.

Susan Wokoma

Chewing Gum star Wokoma took part in season 16 in 2023, taking third place with 139 points.

As a gamer, I showcased my RADA-honed talents in a unique, eerie, and laugh-out-loud rendition of ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’. This time around, it featured a rubber duck and Horne dressed for a funeral. It was such a blast that fans can’t help but wonder what else I might whip up if I were in a room brimming with comedians!

Sophie Duker

In season 13, Duker emerged victorious and consistently demonstrated exceptional scoring abilities, being one of the rare champions who never scored below ten points.

She ended up as the first runner-up in the ‘Champion of Champions’, and given her fantastic performances on ‘Taskmaster’ – such as her showdown constructing a toilet paper tower – she could be a formidable competitor for ‘Last One Laughing’.

Last One Laughing is streaming on Prime Video. Taskmaster airs and streams on Channel 4.
