Nine more stars have joined the cast for Netflix’s production of the eight-episode thriller series, “Vladimir,” with Leo Woodall and Rachel Weisz in leading roles.
According to the New York Times’ review, Julia May Jonas’s upcoming series is “terrifically entertaining“. Notable actors such as John Slattery, Jessica Henwick, and Ellen Robertson are set to portray characters named John, Cynthia, and Sid respectively, as reported by Variety.
Additionally, the ensemble will be graced by the presence of Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Matt Walsh, Tattiawna Jones, and Louise Lambert, each reprising their roles on a regular basis.
In 2022, Jonas released a highly praised novel, and now she’s working on its screen adaptation titled “Vladimir“. Additionally, she’ll serve as an executive producer, much like Weisz in this project.
In the novel, a literature professor finds herself embroiled in controversy after allegations against her spouse, also a professor at the same institution, are made by multiple former pupils.
Simultaneously, the storyteller also finds herself becoming intrigued by Vladimir, a young, married novelist who comes to the university, stirring her own fascination.

As a woman’s life spirals out of control, she grows fixated on an intriguing new coworker.” Filled with steamy mysteries, dark wit, and multidimensional personalities, “Vladimir” explores the consequences when a woman determinedly pursues transforming her dreams into reality.
The project boasts a notable addition to its team of executive producers: Sharon Horan, well-known actor and screenwriter from the series “Bad Sisters,” has joined through her production company Merman at Vladimir’s invitation.

In March, when the project was announced, Horgan couldn’t hide his enthusiasm for Julia’s writing, expressing it right from the start.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but feel profoundly fortunate and electrifyingly excited about the opportunity that Merman has given me to breathe life into the character of Vladimir, in collaboration with Small Dog. The prospect of partnering with Netflix and having Rachel involved is nothing short of exhilarating, a clear reflection of the exceptional quality of the scripts we’re working with. It’s a privilege I relish!
Award-winning filmmakers Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini have been enlisted to helm not one, but three episodes of the upcoming series “Vladimir,” with the pilot episode included in that number. Furthermore, they will take on additional responsibilities as executive producers for this project.
Netflix’s Vladimir is yet to receive a release date.
