80s Star Totally Transformed: Guess Who This Unrecognizable Icon Is Now!

Don’t you forget about this Hollywood actress…

This week, the woman who was famous in the 80s appeared quite different as she nimbly maneuvered past taxis and cafés in New York City.

As a die-hard admirer, I couldn’t help but notice that there wasn’t a hint of my fellow Brat Pack members as I strolled solo through the bustling streets of the Big Apple at the age of 62.

Now, the style she was once known for – her iconic bangs – have disappeared too. With her sunglasses, she held them in place to secure her hair.

The award-winning movie star then hailed a cab – perhaps on her way to enjoy some High Art.

So can you guess who she is?

It is Ally Sheedy!

Under the chill, the star donned a lengthy gray overcoat, slim denim pants, and classic high-tops from Converse All-Stars.

Additionally, although she was famously recognized for her short, curly brown hair during her most popular times, this week she chose to let down her longer locks.

Sheedy, famously recognized from the 1985 indie teen drama The Breakfast Club, made an unusual public appearance.

In the production, she played the role of Allison Reynolds, an unconventional character often referred to as a “basket case.” This intriguing individual was one of five students from various high school social groups who found themselves in detention on a Saturday.

This classic movie, masterfully directed by John Hughes, features acting talents like Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, and Judd Nelson.

As a die-hard admirer, let me share that this masterpiece also showcased Simple Minds’ smash hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”, a tune that eventually climbed its way to the top of the charts!

In addition to her role in “Ally,” she also appeared in other ’80s films like “Bad Boys,” “War Games,” and “St. Elmo’s Fire.” These roles solidified her as a key figure among the Brat Pack, a group of young actors who became famous for their appearances in ’80s teen dramas. The Brat Pack was actually a nickname given to this talented ensemble.

In 1998, she clinched three accolades, among them being the Independent Spirit Award, for her portrayal of a photographer in the romantic drama film High Art, which she continued to excel in.

In my recent public outings, one unforgettable moment happened back in June when I joyously reconnected with Demi Moore and Andrew McCarthy, former Brat Pack comrades, during the Tribeca Film Festival.

The threesome went to the debut screening of the film “Brats,” which was produced by McCarthy and focuses on their fame throughout the Reagan Administration period.

In 1992, Ally tied the knot with actor David Lansbury, who is the nephew of well-known Hollywood legend Angela. Together they welcomed a single child named Beckett. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2009.

In January 2022, Ally opened up about supporting Beckett, now 30, who is trans.

She shared with People magazine that she has gained significant insights. Beck is open and honest, which makes her feel at ease when speaking to parents whose children are starting their transition journey. Parents should take the time to educate themselves, as it’s normal to have concerns about your kids regardless of the situation. However, in this case, Beck is thriving in his life. I try to give him the freedom he needs and primarily focus on observing his progress.

In her words, she stated that their current stage is quite positive. Beck tends to be self-reliant, but she enjoys being able to assist him, be it by offering guidance or providing a new mattress when needed.

I desire for him to have the ability to pursue his personal aspirations, enjoy the liberty to decide his path, and immerse himself in an environment filled with love and support.

To this point, he has managed it quite well. It’s incredibly uplifting and lovely to maintain strength alongside your children during challenging times, offering unwavering support.
