’80s movie star who worked with Tom Cruise looks unrecognizable on rare outing… can you guess who it is?

In the 1980s, this actor gained significant recognition, collaborated with both Tom Cruise and Quentin Tarantino, and made headlines for being dismissed from a legendary movie production.

On a Monday, the 63-year-old celebrity appeared quite different during an unusual trip to Manhattan’s West Village area.

Originally from California, this individual was previously romantically linked with actress Bridget Fonda, famously known for her role in Jackie Brown. On this occasion, he wore a tee showcasing a cartoon design, complemented by blue denims and sneakers.

He donned a worn-out hat atop his long, silver hair and carried a rucksack. Additionally, he had on a pair of shades.

In a past role, this movie star, well-known for portraying a drug dealer in a Quentin Tarantino production, had already been recognized with a Golden Globe nomination.

Can you guess who it is

That’s right, it’s Eric Stoltz!

Stoltz was famously hired to play Marty McFly in the 1985 film Back to the Future.

After more than a month of filming, he was fired and replaced with Michael J. Fox.

Director Robert Zemeckis realized that his intense, dramatic acting approach didn’t fit well with the movie’s humorous atmosphere.

The film transformed Fox into one of the biggest stars of the Eighties.

Zemeckis commented that Stoltz was an exceptional actor, yet his comedic instincts diverged significantly from the vision he and Bob Gale shared in their scriptwriting.

‘And he and I were just never able to make that work.’

Zemeckis shared that he presented the initial five weeks of footage to Spielberg, explaining that they weren’t achieving the laughter he had anticipated.

Spielberg stated, “His judgment was spot-on, leaving me with a difficult, emotionally taxing choice that affected everyone deeply.

Michael found immense success and became a highly acclaimed celebrity, whereas Stoltz primarily landed smaller roles in various productions.

However, he also experienced some triumph in 1985, particularly with the drama film “Mask,” earning him a nomination for a Golden Globe award. Incidentally, that very same year, “Back to the Future” emerged as one of the most financially successful blockbusters ever made.

He also starred as Keith Nelson in Some Kind of Wonderful (1987).

In 1994, he played a drug dealer named Lance in Tarantino’s iconic film, Pulp Fiction.

He also appeared as Ethan Valhere in the 1996 hit film Jerry Maguire, which starred Tom Cruise.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to appear in supporting roles for films like “The Butterfly Effect” and the popular TV series “Grey’s Anatomy,” taking on a chilling persona as a serial killer in both projects.

Previously, Bridget, the daughter of actor Peter Fonda, was once in a relationship with Stoltz, but at present, he’s married to Bernadette Moley.

During the late 1980s and 1990s, she was a well-known actress in Hollywood, gracing the screen in movies such as The Godfather Part III, Single White Female, and Jackie Brown.

The two met in 1986, and started dating in 1990.

Back in 1997, they both went to the first showing of Jackie Brown at the Ziegfeld Theatre, right here in New York City.

Their relationship ended in 1998.

Eric went on to marry Bernadette in 2005.
