8 cameos we want to see in Deadpool and Wolverine

As a long-time Marvel Comics fan and avid moviegoer, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming “Deadpool and Wolverine” movie. The anticipation has been building ever since the botched X-Men films of the 20th Century Fox era left us craving for more of our beloved characters. And now, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in full swing, the possibilities are endless.

Fans have eagerly anticipated the team-up of Deadpool and Wolverine since the failed attempt in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” This long-awaited collaboration is now a reality, and it’s shaping up to be an emotional experience for fans. What began as a humorous teaser has blossomed into a movie that may bring tears to the eyes of viewers. I was taken aback when I saw Dafne Keen in the final trailer (feel free to watch it below). Her inclusion was unexpected, but she’s not the only Marvel Comics character who will surprise us in “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

What about adding some new characters to the film? Let’s explore that idea further by talking about which Marvel heroes we’d love to see interact with the unpredictable pair.

To get started, let’s review the list of confirmed characters, appearances, and returns based on trailer previews and trustworthy sources.

  • Ema Corrin as Cassandra Nova
  • Tyler Mane as Sabretooth
  • Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney
  • Jennifer Garner as Elektra
  • Ray Park as Toad
  • Yuriko Oyama / Lady Deathstrike (may or may not be played by Kelly Hu)
  • Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
  • Aaron Standford as Pyro
  • Scott Lang (kind of)

But which other characters would we like to see appear? Let’s discuss!

Storm

In an alternate scenario, the films featuring Deadpool and Wolverine may draw inspiration from Old Man Logan. Consequently, we could witness Logan taking the lives of the X-Men instead. A poignant replacement could be Storm (potentially portrayed by Halle Berry), as she takes her last breaths, leaving an emotional impact akin to Jubilee’s demise. When Storm delivers the line “Why are you doing this?”, anticipate an outpouring of tears in the cinema audience.

Mystique

Rebecca Romijn deserves more recognition for her role in the initial X-Men series. She perfectly embodied Mystique from the comics, excluding the weapons. Yet, she exuded such grace and charisma that guns were unnecessary. It’s intriguing to imagine a scene where Deadpool acknowledges her brilliance.

Daredevil

As a longtime fan of comic books and superhero movies, I’m always excited to learn about new developments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on the latest news, it seems that Ben Affleck might be reprising his role as Daredevil in an upcoming project, possibly even sharing the screen with Elektra, played by Jennifer Garner.

8 cameos we want to see in Deadpool and Wolverine

Madisynn

Madisynn stood out as a beloved character in “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” Her scenes of relaxing with Wong, watching TV and munching on popcorn, added to her endearing qualities. Imagine this dynamic between Madisynn and Deadpool instead. Picture it as an extra scene during or after the credits, where they’re both cozied up in their onesies, sharing a bag of popcorn and discussing their favorite TV show. Who wouldn’t be thrilled to witness that interaction?

The Chris trio

Instead of “Not Thor, Star-Lord, and Steve Rogers,” you could say “Chris Evans, Pratt, and Hemsworth are not those identities for Wade. It’s intriguing to imagine how unfazed Wade would be if he encountered them in person, particularly Hemsworth.” In the comics and movies, Wade Wilson has expressed romantic attraction towards Thor, so it adds an interesting layer to this hypothetical scenario.

The Fantastic Four

Michael Chiklis stated that he wouldn’t be resurfacing as Ben Grimm/The Thing in “Deadpool and Wolverine,” but this doesn’t rule out some form of participation. Similarly, Tatiana Maslany, Andrew Garfield, and Paul Rudd previously declined Marvel Cinematic Universe roles, only to eventually join Marvel Studios’ film projects.

A more natural way of expressing this could be: People adore Jessica Alba as The Invisible Woman, and she’s expressed her eagerness to reprise the role. This might suggest that she’ll appear in “Deadpool and Wolverine” again.

Alba and Chris Evans, an MCU veteran, have been speculated to come back for the role. Evans is said to reprise his character as Johnny Storm, also known as The Human Torch, implying a potential appearance of the Fantastic Four in the upcoming film.

The Hulks

Among all potential fights, the most anticipated one besides Wolverine versus Deadpool is Wolverine going up against the Hulk. Should Deadpool and Wolverine aim to destroy the Marvel universe as portrayed by 20th Century Fox, it’s highly likely that the Hulk they’d encounter would be Eric Bana’s version. Although Hulk was a Universal Pictures production, this distinction is unlikely to matter much when pitted against Logan in a battle.

As a longtime fan of Marvel comics and movies, I can’t help but be excited about the upcoming “Marvels: The Multiverse of Madness.” With the multitude of characters making an appearance in this film, I find myself pondering which ones will make the cut.

Based on the news piece from her episode 2, it seems that Wolverine has presumably joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There’s a possibility of witnessing the battle scene alluded to.

Doctor Strange

In conclusion, the portal the duo, Logan and Wade, leap into seems reminiscent of something created by Doctor Strange or Wong from the Marvel Universe. This implies a possible entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Based on my speculation, it was likely during the climactic battle in “Avengers: Endgame.” The Avengers were in dire need of reinforcements and the unconventional pairing of Wolverine and Deadpool would have proven invaluable. Keep an eye on TopMob for updates on this theory.
