7th Heaven Is Getting a ‘Diverse’ Reboot With Original Star Producing

The upcoming television series revival is none other than the beloved show “7th Heaven“. Interestingly, one of the original cast members has returned, but this time they’ll be working off-screen.

According to reports, CBS Studios is said to be reviving the series 7th Heaven. Original lead actress Jessica Biel will be back on board as an executive producer under her Iron Ocean label, joined by Michelle Purple. Showrunner Anthony Sparks, known for his work on shows like Queen Sugar and Bel-Air, is also set to serve as an executive producer alongside Biel and DeVon Franklin from Franklin Entertainment. However, CBS Studios has not yet made any official statements about the reboot, and at this stage, no network or streaming service has been confirmed for the project.

The reboot of the show won’t simply resurrect the original series. While Kristin Biel is connected to the project, there’s no hint suggesting she or any other former stars from “7th Heaven” will appear on screen. Instead, it appears the reboot will center around a diverse family, with none of the original cast expected to make an appearance. Additional details about potential characters haven’t been revealed yet, but it seems the new series will maintain a similar theme as the original show featuring a family that is not entirely Caucasian.
