Premiering in 2019, Kingdom is a captivating series that blends the suspense of K-dramas with the thrills of zombie horror and action. Netflix’s Kingdom is divided into two six-episode seasons, both perfect for watching in one sitting. The show is highly rated, with a 91% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.3 out of 10 on IMDb – proof of its excellent quality. Other popular shows with the same IMDb score include Castlevania and The Good Wife.
Kingdom is highly praised for its powerful acting, suspenseful and frightening atmosphere, and complex, well-developed story. It’s still confusing why Netflix cancelled Kingdom after two successful seasons. Instead of making a third season, they released the 2021 film Kingdom: Ashin of the North. Although the movie received perfect ratings, many fans were left wanting more, feeling it was just a piece of the larger story the series deserved.
