What to Read Next

Lazarus

Sam Claflin, known from *Daisy Jones & The Six*, stars in Harlan Coben’s newest thriller. The story follows Joel Lazarus as he returns home following the sudden and sad death of his father. Beyond his grief, Lazarus also starts experiencing strange and unsettling events that he can’t explain.

As the story unfolds, Lazarus finds himself involved in a series of unsolved, older investigations. The show, which creator Claflin calls intriguing, also features Bill Nighy and Alexandra Roach.

Lazarus is available to watch from Wednesday 22 October on Prime Video.

The Ridge

I’m so excited about this new BBC thriller! Lauren Lyle, who I loved as Karen Pirie, is playing a doctor – an anaesthetist named Mia Beaton – and it looks like a really gripping murder mystery.

Mia travels to New Zealand for her sister Cassy’s wedding, but receives heartbreaking news: Cassy has died in a mountain-climbing accident. Mia doubts it was simply an accident and suspects something else happened to her sister.

Throughout the six episodes, Mia is determined to find out what really happened, all while struggling with secrets from her past.

You can start watching The Ridge on Tuesday, October 21st, on BBC iPlayer, BBC Scotland, Sky Open, and Neon. It will then air on BBC Two on Thursday, October 23rd.

The Forsytes

Okay, so there’s a new take on *The Forsytes* hitting screens this week – it’s basically a remake of a remake! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be packed with all the drama and feels you’d expect from a good historical show. It’s all about this family of stockbrokers, and apparently, things get *intense*.

The series follows four generations of a wealthy family who work as stockbrokers, all set during a time of great change in late Victorian England.

The conflict between upholding tradition and embracing freedom will be a major source of drama, especially as cousins Soames and Jolyon Forsyte fight for control of the family business. And amidst all that, surprising and complex love affairs promise to further complicate their already turbulent lives.

The Forsytes is available to watch from Monday 20 October at 9pm on Channel 5.

Trigger Point, season 3

The new season of ITV’s *Trigger Point* will feature dangerous new threats. Explosives expert Lana Washington (Vicky McClure) must investigate a revenge plot targeting specific people to find out who’s responsible.

I’m really invested in Lana’s story! Even though she’s working hard with her bomb squad and the police to try and prevent the next attack, she’s still clearly dealing with a lot of pain and the aftermath of everything that happened last season. It’s tough to watch, but I’m rooting for her.

Trigger Point season 3 is available to watch from Sunday 26 October on Netflix.

Nobody Wants This, season 2

Noah, a rabbi, and Joanne, who doesn’t believe in God, are returning for another season of their podcast to explore whether their surprising romance can last. They’re both very committed to finding out if they can make their relationship work!

Now that Noah and Joanne are moving beyond the initial excitement of their honeymoon phase, they’ll face real-life challenges as they try to build a life together. Joanne describes her ideal partner as someone who provides both attraction and a sense of security – will their relationship deliver that? Tune in to find out.

Nobody Wants This season 2 is available to watch from Thursday 23 October on Netflix.

Foyle’s War

This week, the popular detective series *Foyle’s War* is becoming available on Netflix, potentially reaching a wider audience. The show, set in England during the 1940s, centers on Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle (played by Michael Kitchen) as he investigates various crimes during World War II.

During a chaotic wartime era filled with murder and illegal activity, DCS Foyle faces a constant stream of challenges – from political meddling and bomb attacks to solving complex crimes. The series weaves in significant historical events that occurred throughout the war.

Foyle’s War is available to watch from Wednesday 22 October on Netflix.

Blind Spot

Don’t confuse it with the American TV show *Blindspot* or the film *Blind Spot* – this is a different thriller, airing on Channel 5, that’s coming to Netflix this week.

The series stars Beth Alsbury and Ross Kemp (known from *EastEnders*). It centers around Hannah Quinn, a CCTV operator played by Alsbury, who notices something strange and takes it upon herself to investigate a case others have ignored.

Blind Spot is available to watch from Friday 24 October on Netflix.

The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! You can purchase Ariana & Witches at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
