6 shows and docuseries' to watch on Peacock in October 2024 (Including some spooky additions!)

As an avid gamer with a penchant for horror games and a soft spot for 80s nostalgia, I can hardly contain my excitement for October 2024! The lineup on Peacock this month promises to be a thrilling ride, but it’s the spooky shows that have me hooked.

In October 2024, the spooky atmosphere is all around, and fittingly, Peacock will be premiering two new shows that align with this theme. Let’s discuss those later. For now, let’s take a look at the diverse array of offerings from the streamer this month, which includes not just new shows but also the launch of two compelling docuseries. Those are always intriguing! Here’s a rundown:

  • Reggaeton: The Sound That Conquered the World (docuseries) – Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024
  • Queens Court season 2 – Sunday, Oct. 6
  • Teacup – Thursday, Oct. 10
  • Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (finale) – Thursday, Oct. 10
  • Anatomy of Lies (docuseries) – Tuesday, Oct. 15
  • Hysteria! – Friday, Oct. 18

Without a doubt, we’re thrilled about everything, but what really has me pumped is diving into the Halloween mood with some chilling TV series. Notably, there are two spine-tingling options on Peacock that I can’t wait to explore!

Teacup

Premieres Thursday, Oct. 10

Coming up towards mid-month is a series titled “Teacup,” streaming on Peacock, starring actress Yvonne Strahovski from “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Knowing she’s involved will make me eager to watch. The horror series makes its debut on October 10, 2024, with the first two episodes. From then on, new episodes will be released every week, with two more installments dropping each time. Here’s the release schedule:

  • Episode 1 – Oct. 10
  • Episode 2 – Oct. 10
  • Episode 3 – Oct. 17
  • Episode 4 – Oct. 17
  • Episode 5 – Oct. 24
  • Episode 6 – Oct. 24
  • Episode 7 – Oct. 31
  • Episode 8 – Oct. 31

The series focuses on a diverse group of individuals residing in rural Georgia, with the Chenoweth family being the central characters. As suggested in the preview, Arlo (Caleb Dolden), the son of Maggie (Strahovski) and James (Scott Speedman), encounters an enigmatic danger. To ensure their survival, all characters will need to unite and tackle this peril collectively.

Hysteria!

Premieres Friday, Oct. 18

In a nostalgic trip back to the ’80s, the TV show on Peacock titled Hysteria! follows a clique of high school students who cleverly capitalize on the fear of the “Satanic Panic” and the mysterious disappearance of their cherished varsity quarterback. To boost the popularity of their band, they exploit these events as described in the synopsis we provided below.

When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

The spine-tingling drama combining horror, thriller, and suspense begins airing on Friday, October 18th, with the entire 8-episode season available on Peacock. This makes for an excellent choice for a Halloween binge-watch session! The series boasts an impressive cast that includes Julie Bowen, Anna Camp, Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, Kezli Curtis, Nikki Hahn, Garret Dillahunt, Nolan North, Elijah Richardson, Milly Shapiro, Allison Scagliotti, and Jessica Treska.
