Only days before a private showing of his 5000 collection on Friday, Taylor Thompson received a nomination for the CFDA’s Emerging Designer of the Year award. Despite the honor, he maintained his relaxed, Oakland vibe at the High Line showroom, where he presented his Spring/Summer 2026 collection on a simple display of silver racks in a clean, all-white space.

Choosing the right location was crucial for moving this collection from its origins on the West Coast to New York City. The collection’s blend of relaxed, practical design and sophisticated menswear style feels perfectly suited to the city’s vibe.

Thompson’s latest collection focuses on simple, well-balanced designs meant to make daily life feel more peaceful.
