5 shows you don't want to miss coming to Disney+ in December 2024

As a devoted Disney+ enthusiast who’s been following their content for years, I can confidently say that December 2024 is shaping up to be a fantastic month for us fans! With a mix of old favorites and fresh new series, it’s clear that Disney is pulling out all the stops.

2024 is drawing to a close with just one month left, providing us with a final opportunity to savor fresh shows on our preferred streaming platforms and networks. In this article, we’ll be highlighting five must-watch shows set to debut on Disney+ in December 2024, featuring series ranging from the epic realm of Star Wars to cherished family favorites.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Star Wars has been facing some challenges recently in its television series on the streaming service. With The Acolyte not being successful, it can be said that Star Wars has an opportunity to leave a favorable impression in 2024 if they play their cards right.

As a die-hard Star Wars fan, I can’t contain my excitement for “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” a new series featuring acting talents like Jude Law, Jaleel White, and Nick Frost. But what truly piques my curiosity are the young actors joining this epic adventure – Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, and Robert Timothy Smith. It’s remarkable how effectively they’ve managed to keep this project under wraps!

From what I’ve gathered so far, it appears the story revolves around a band of young explorers who unexpectedly journey through the cosmos and encounter a force-sensitive individual, played by Jude Law. While some have drawn comparisons to the spirited adventure of “The Goonies,” we won’t have long to discover the truth for ourselves.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew streams on December 3.

Bluey “Minisodes”

Bluey has gained widespread popularity among children, families, and even adults. Each episode, lasting approximately seven minutes, tackles various themes through humorous narratives centered around the Heeler family. This animated family includes mom (Chilli), dad (Bandit), and their daughters Bluey and Bingo, who are all part of a Heeler breed dog family residing in a world resembling ours, filled with other dog families as well.

In the realm of Bluey, they’ve been shortening episodes to just a few minutes each, which is now known as minisodes. Starting from December 9, new episodes or minisodes will be available for streaming.

Dream Productions

In Disney Pixar’s movies “Inside Out” and its sequel, the inner workings of a character named Riley’s mind are portrayed as something like a workspace. Here, you find the familiar emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Jealousy, and Fear (with additional emotions emerging as Riley matures), and other sectors such as Dream Productions.

Just as Hollywood produces movies, this is where Riley’s mind creates her dreams, whether they are good or bad. These dream scenarios are scripted and filmed much like a real movie, with titles such as “I Am Falling For A Very Long Time Into A Pit” and “I Can Fly!”. What other dream sequences will we witness next? Could you explain the creative process behind these dreams? Will there be any recognizable real-world elements in these films?

Dream Productions premieres on December 11.

Lost Treasures of the Bible

Many might not know that aside from classic Disney films and cartoons, subscribers can also enjoy plenty of National Geographic content, which includes the next show on our list. Lost Treasures of the Bible seems to consist of 4 episodes, containing exciting explorations and information about Bible stories and where key items or even people from those stories could be lying in wait in the Middle East.

In just a few days, we’ll embark on an exciting journey as we uncover the mysteries hidden in the Bible’s past. On December 20th, join us for the revealing of Lost Secrets of the Holy Scriptures.
